America needs to redefine “monopoly” so that small business can compete with “monopolies” that somehow are not considered “monopolies”.
@rock Onmyboi what’s your solution? If a company starts getting to popular we shut it down? It’s not Amazon’s fault it’s as big as it is, wouldn’t be what it is without us consumers mindlessly shopping and growing their company. Maybe people should stop all the senseless buying from those places and support local stores. It’s up to the people to stop huge companies but we don’t because they are far more convenient. When a drone delivers your next pair of shoes, you still gonna be mad at Amazon?
@Black Shirt I’m not the biggest Trump guy, but you can’t say this is directly his fault this businesses were doing long before him….and sadly will afterwards
The word is oligopoly. We need oligopoly laws.
@MAGA COUNTRY I agree. Go BBC or go home. I got that BBC action.
@Balloon Poop I’ve only used amazon a few times I hate bezos
Each day at opening time for Kroger theres a line of 75 to 150 people to jump in the store at 7am ( add 50 + employees on top of them numbers )
Is this safe with the guidelines of the CDC?
HEB and Fiesta are letting 10 people in at a time but at Kroger it’s like watching a group of hyenas each day race for toilet paper,Lysol, Clorox wipes, Clorox, hand sanitizer and rubbing alcohol
There’s no 3rd party clearing the stores other than the floors!
There’s no gloves, masks and trying to find hand sanitizer is a act of God
So i feel what Amazon employees are going through. The employees are being put at a very high risk just so some CEO and share holders can make a few more bucks off the backs of it’s work force.
mikel parent And You ain’t working!
@Steven Hughes if i was to bash my employer that would just take a few videos post on YouTube and send to the health department knowing full well that would get them stores close till they came back up to code and by than who would shop there?
That’s bashing a employer
Pointing out facts that the night crew aka stockers before this work 40 to 45 hours a week now they’re working 70+ in 6 days trying to keep up with people buying out the 💩paper, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, Clorox bleach, rubbing alcohol, baby wipes etc..
But like you said I’m just bashing my employer , so if i get sick they’ll only pay 70% of my income do to that’s workman’s comp law ( no light duty with Coronavirus )
Sorry about the fact that these companies really don’t care about they’re workers much less their customers it’s more about the🤑 💸💸🤑
Sean Schisler So if and when You quit just sit back and watch how fast your position is filled. Sounds to me like the company should do better in screening it’s employees than they did with You! Be grateful You got a job dam!
@Steven Hughes 2 things i fear in life.
1 is God
2 is my wife ( no money no honey ) 😂🤣
But for real if i don’t work that’s like a death sentence for me.
Sean Schisler So Why the Hell would get on utube and threaten your employer with your videotaping them? You should think before You post as in do I want my employer knowing I’m fixin to out them on utube? Wtf? God wouldn’t want You to do that? You lose your job and your wife won’t want to be your wife!
Damn, I work at Carl’s Jr. At the very least we get gloves.
You are in the food industry.that is par for the course. Everyone should be RESPONSIBLE FOR THEMSELVES.
Stop begging for handouts…..it NEVER ENDS
@AMERICANS First you shouldn’t have to pay to work.
Sabrina
I work for UPS and they barely gave us gloves last Wednesday! Smh
At Amazon’s Whole Foods Shopper operation, they assigned a “cleaner” for each shift. They sent out a checklist of items to clean. They didn’t say what to clean with – we were told to just ask a manager of the Whole Foods. They didn’t show whether to use paper towels or rags, where to get the rags, how long to use them, where to place used rags, what cleaner to use, explain that the cleaner has only a four hour disinfecting life outside of the original container, etc. literally, there was zero training and ANYONE could get this shift if they were quick enough. Shoppers will get sick in several locations. Then it’ll spread to consumers, and so on…if I could say one thing to Mr. Bezos, it would be, “you’re not doing it right.”
People have to have some common sense and brains on how to clean you don’t use Rags you don’t use paper towels .
@Lor M. it isn’t common sense. Go to the EPA, and CDC website.
I clean on a army depot,do not use rags,it spreads germs, use paper towels.
Amazon Workers:
WE NEED MASKS GLOVES AND DISINFECTANT!
Nurses:
😰
Supply Problem.
American people need work to eat!
Why can’t the employees buy the gloves that they need ??
Lor M. Strike. Strike. Strike.
They need to now they see people are needed and not disposable
Dan Cook There’s a job for everyone brotha, if you don’t like the job/pay leave, no ones forcing people to work their. Also, from a business standpoint people are absolutely disposable. The only way they’ll prosper is by reducing cost while increasing income.
Will Pope, did you read what you just wrote. People are disposable. Thats the problem
@George It is a fact that if a person quits, another person will take his place. No matter what you call it, that is what happens.
Will Pope Yea your right, i hope to god once automation kicks in 10-30 years, a real revolution of workers will take place. Screw these companies, they don’t care about us, why should they provide health insurance.
Stella Z, it is a fact that if you keep increasing the population of unskilled workers while decreasing the amount of unskilled labor required from humans through robots, you’re going to have massive unemployment. We are at the point where a robot can do like 99% of what humans can do and now they are learning how to be artistic—the one thing we had over the machines.
The real reason workers initiated the walkout from Instacart is because Instacart is stealing their tips. Get the real facts reported so you have an informed public!
In addition to the tip I leave online for my order I give the shopper a cash tip at my house. I am elderly and have been using them before the virus hit. They do a great service.
Cash is a good way to spread virus too.
Im sure you’ll be hearing this soon.
Money is dirty use gloves
Where can I get an application?
if I went on strike at my job for better pay I’d get a pink slip and be replaced the next day.
JPD Walk away !
That’s why unions exist.
@TIMOTHY M LAWLOR and that’s why are jobs are being sent over seas.
So I guess you prefer low wages and poor work conditions and no worker protections. Someone rich is feeding you a line.
I support them. They’ve been stressed as hell. I’ve seen workers and managers in all grocery stores step up and do more than usual, under great pressure and they’ve all managed to be friendly and kind to customers in the midst of all this. Bezos can afford it.
ksuny Amen
Dam unions
Billionaires asking for donations…I will never order from Amazon ever again! STRIKE!
Walking Streets 워킹스트리트 So brave
And just like that, Jeff Bezos bought 10,000 new robots.
Tim M lol
I spoke with my Instacart shopper who was doing this because her other job had closed down. She had no gloves, masks, wipes, nothing. So I gave her two of my N95 masks (I only had a very few), a bunch of gloves, and a fair number of disinfectant wipes. I also left a generous tip. Lovely young woman just trying to provide for herself and her kids.
Jeff Bezos by himself is worth $130 BILLION. He can very well afford to give all his Amazon and Whole Foods employees a pay raise during this COVID-19 pandemic. He could also afford to provide proper cleaning supplies and PPE. And he would still be the world’s wealthiest person!
Good for them!!!
Good for them! Amazon doesn’t even PAY TAXES!!! But the workers will! Who do u think pays for the deficit? TAXPAYERS!!!
So drumpf bailed em out and WE pay for the deficit…and the TINY checks sent to buy us off but don’t pay ONE MONTH of bills!
👍🇺🇸😬😞😢😷💀
UPS is the same thing. One of the managers has it and they’re making it a point to keep it a secret. I pray for everyone working in these horrible companies.
Damn strait. MY UPS facility has took no precautions. No gloves no mask no cleaning the building and forcing work unless you test positive for covid then you have 10 days.
greedyb00777 yea mine too and I work in the second biggest building they have. They haven’t cleaned anything and so many people are coming up sick but I can’t take off cause I have to pay bills. UPS does so many things they shouldn’t do but they never get any flack for it, it’s crazy
dude11517. I know I’ve heard all kinds of horrible stories of how they stay out of the news from pay offs to lawsuits.
greedyb00777 yea. I know three people at ups hi have it so far and they’ve kept it hidden
Great support for these forgotten people. I know UPS has done nothing to clean their buildings. UPS is delivering covid-19 to your door, and to hospitals and nursing homes.
Amazon is unfair Mr boss is in there standing is a impression plotting is depression :spongebob strike
