  1. The person least likely to be a threat is someone without ID. Terrorists have everything in order. In fact, I’m not comfortable with the whole process of having to identify yourself for inter and intra-provincial travel, that’s far to close to a Soviet style internal passport system. And I’m a liberal

    1. Ok Alan. Stay home then. Identification is used for everything. You have to show your credit card when you pay for items. Health card for healthcare (soon it’ll be cash). Passport to travel. You can’t just walk into an airport and expect to walk by security without identification.

  2. The question would seem to be, why was there not a police report filed the day before when the wallet was allegedly stolen?

  3. Zero sympathy for those who leave wallets and valuables in cars. The rules are the rules, they can’t be changed for every possible circumstance.

  4. lucky they could still drive to where they need to go…
similar and worse situation would be out of the country and lost the ID (passport)…
will need to get to a consulate of Canada in that country for help and see how you can get on the flight if possible… must always safeguard the ID while travelling more than usual…

probably any airline would do the same as it’s a very basic regulation for taking a flight, customer service could’ve done better for suggesting consistence solution
then again, all aviation employees are probably fed up with the crazy unreasonable situations this summer with everything going on, gotta be thankful they are willing to stay in the field already

    1. @Cody Perry By your logic, anyone, including terrorists, should be allowed to walk onto an airplane without identification. Yah, way to increase air travel safety, buddy! LOL

    2. @Rupert Periwinkle imagine.. all this time all we needed to stop terrorists was a mandatory drivers license rule.. congratulations on your Nobel prize
