  1. If this was a non celebrity and this happened in a student film someone would be going to prison for manslaughter.

  2. Treat all firearms as if they were loaded. Never allow the muzzle of any firearm to point at anything you are not willing to destroy. Be sure of your target and what is before and beyond your target. Never put your finger near the trigger until you are ready to fire. Do not depend on any mechanical device for safety!

If he had practiced proper gun safety the shooting would have never happened.

He does not deserve to get off on these charges.

    1. In movies actors point guns at each other, sometimes point blank. Many basic rules of gun safety are bent and broken on sets.

    2. @Rope Thurston That’s part of the problem.. still his fault for point the fucking thing at the guy.

  3. “I wonder how it must feel to wrongfully kill someone,” Alec Baldwin tweet about the police shooting that the Orange County District Attorney’s Office later ruled had been justified

    1. @Ryan Elliott you do know that when you are on a movie set it’s not the same as real life?
Live rounds aren’t permitted on movie sets that prop-guns are fired on. The movie pays for a Weapons Expert to provide the actors with their props. The actors use those weapons how the script says they’re to be used. The live rounds could’ve been in any gun on the set.
Baldwin didn’t bring his own gun from his house and shoot up his work place…lmfao
How is it possible to think as shallow as you appear to think about things?…wtf

    2. @Bryon Kidder Alec already admitted to shooting live rounds on set for target practice fun prior to the shooting. Knowing that there are live rounds on set means he should’ve made double damn sure his weapon was empty. Irregardless of the fact that he broke the first and seconds rules of gun safety.

    3. @Roy Rogers Yes and he hired the child with no experience… to save money Im sure. why hire a real armorist… this 18 yr old will do just fine.

  4. of course, this is Sad..and the Real Victim is No Longer living..Prayers to her Family and Friends

  5. It was an accident, but a preventable one. It was gross negligence especially on his part. It was his set.

    1. @RobertA105 This is a gun. A very dangerous tool. It shouldn’t matter if you “have handlers”, it’s still a dangerous mechanism that needs extra checking especially on movie sets.

    2. @Chrissant yes, and the person who does the checking is at fault. The prop master. You fail to understand the difference between a gun held at home, and a gun on a movie set. A gun at home always has live rounds. Its never loaded with blanks. For that reason everyone that picks up the gun should make sure its not loaded, and definitely not pointing at anyone. There’s a certain reasonable expectation that the gun might go boom and kill someone if not handled properly. This differs from the gun at a movie set. On a movie set there’s always an expectation that the gun is loaded with blanks. And the only person allowed to load the gun is the Prop master, and they’re not supposed to put live rounds in there under any circumstances. When you’re handed a gun on a movie set there’s a reasonable expectation that the gun will not go boom and kill someone. So its not reasonable to blame the actor who was handed a loaded gun because he would have thought, quite reasonably, that there was no chance that someone could get shot. That’s why Baldwin is not guilty of criminal negligence. Clearly the prop master is guilty of criminal negligence which is why they’re still charged and most likely going to prison, while the charges for Baldwin has been dropped. Its not rocket science and if you weren’t so stubbornly keen on having a celebrity convicted you’d see the logic behind it.

    3. @RobertA105 I hire a spinal surgeon to fix my spinal cord, but I am responsible when it goes wrong. That’s how some of these people think.

    4. WOW first sane comment here! Thanks, so many people are either out to get him because he disparaged trump or defended him at all cost for the same reason. It appears like pragmatism is no longer something people posses.

  6. The fact that he denied having pulled the trigger, and everyone from the FBI and all the rest, have proven beyond all doubt, that the trigger was indeed pulled. Means he wasn’t competent enough to touch the firearm. He was required to check and verify that the gun was unloaded, beforehand. The gun had a live round in it. He failed to do his duties as a producer and the guy in charge of set safety.

    1. WTF did he deny pulling it? 🤨 Oh, that’s them thar “alternative facts” that Trump invented, huh? 🤔

    2. @Vicky Harp Guns do discharge sometimes without somebody pulling the trigger. There is a WIkipedia article about this, plus, if you just Google accidental gun discharges you’ll find a lot of news stories about that.

I don’t think it matters much legally whether Baldwin pulled the trigger or not. He was not the person responsible for checking the gun. Numerous armorers would have testified to that if the case had gone to court. Modern guns have more robust mechanisms to prevent accidental discharges than this copy of a late 1800’s revolver. It has been shown that at least some guns similar to this one could discharge if there was a light force on the trigger and the hammer was released.

    3. @Slender Man 186 Thanks for the reply. Yes, you are right and I am far from sure that Baldwin didn’t just pull the trigger. I am not sure he would known given the excited state he might have been in. However. I think he might also have had a very light pull on the trigger that he didn’t notice that could have been part of what caused the hammer to release. I hope I didn’t exaggerate my knowledge of guns in my post. It was based on my understanding of what was said in a few videos about this incident. The majority of the videos on this incident claim that the gun couldn’t fire unless the trigger was pulled fully.

    4. @Dave Kirkeby It was a single action revolver. The only thing the gun did was smack the back of the loaded bullet. That means that Alec cocked it without checking it, or the bullet, at all.

  7. “We can’t give jurors a chance – justice might prevail and start a trend of punishing criminals .”

    1. Absolute BS !! one) he pulled the trigger PERIOD. two) as the executive producer, he was untimely responsible for everyone safety on the set, and shouldn’t have allowed a child with no experience in charge of weapons safety.

He is Responsible, and shouldn’t be able to buy his way out of it :/

  8. Anyone else would have been tried and sentenced to at least a long time in prison for murder. This is your two-tier justice system in action.

    1. Murder? do you even know how that word is supposed to be used? You’re acting like there was intention on the part of Baldwin. At worst, he was careless.

    2. What Alex Baldwin did nothing more than a horrendous accident not a murder I never meant to kill her and he has been approved right! ❤❤❤❤❤#Love you Alec Baldwin

  9. This is what happens when you have money you can buy your freedom that man should be locked up and put in prison along with his co-partner but unfortunately she’s gonna take all the blame

    1. No, this is what happens when the charges were absurd to begin with. 🙄 He did NOTHING WRONG. He did his job correctly, both as a producer and as an actor. If YOU don’t know how safety on movie-sets is supposed to work, then that’s your problem, you have no right to use your ignorance to pass judgement. 😒

    1. No because it was a genuine accident it’s not his job to check everything before shooting for a movie either way he would have to point at someone during the filming the girl whose job it was to check should’ve done a better job

    2. @Ghost Spectre it wasn’t the pointing that killed her. It was having a real round In the chamber and squeezing the trigger….while pointed at her.

    3. @Ghost Spectre >Held a real gun
      >Didn’t check if there was ammo in it
      >Pointed at film crew member
      >Pulled trigger

      >Shoots member
      >Shocked for some reason

  10. disgusting. tbh if he wasnt a scum bag that lies against physical evidence that proves he pulled the trigger just to escape accountability. i understand that the armorer is definitely at fault and a complete disgrace. it would definitely feel shitty to be handed a gun and told its safe, and then turn out that its loaded and u just killed someone. but at the end of the day the gun is in your hands so its up to you to check it and to use it properly. after this he deserves so much worse
