  1. The provisions of heavy equipment operators employment insurance training in Alberta NDP scrapped ,canceled the training stemmed concerns analysis driving jobs, economy and money to BC, Bring Cash.

    1. If you want to move here you need to bring lots of cash. We don’t want poor and broke Albertans here. Even better, just send your cash and stay there.

  2. WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!…’SOCK IT TO THE SOCK BOY”!!!…time to move to Alberta where common sense and decency prevail!!!

    1. If I had a dollar everyone someone told me they were moving to Alberta but never did, I’d have enough to get Canada out of debt 😂

    1. You want Canada to become a third world country where we need to fight to the death for basic necessities? At least you’re honest

    1. @Mike Wilson! How so? This issue between the provinces and federal government has been brewing for a very long time. There is a lack of regional representation in federal institutions since confederation. Power today is centralized in the PMO. This is tantamount to a monopoly of power. This federal unilateralism has generated the anger witnessed in both Alberta and Saskatchewan. It’s a great day for democracy.

    1. @Salt Peter  if it’s wrong it’s worth standing and saying so glad Alberta is doing this and I’m not from Alberta it’s looking better and better though

    2. @Salt Peter Except Quebec doesn’t pay for anything and Alberta does. So maybe Alberta has a reason.

  3. I look at all that smith is doing for her province, what an amazing leader. Then look at Doug Ford and his liberal boot liking and feel absolute disgust.

  4. Canadian interests are becoming too divided by region. What works for Ontario and Quebec will not necessarily work for Alberta. Either change the voting system to limit the influence one province can have over another, or you may see similar legislation pop up elsewhere.

    1. As a someone from Quebec, I totally agree, it would also help our leaders to stop being dependant from other provinces!

    2. Absolutely, the way things are done worked way back in the day but things are different now, there needs to be a new way of doing things.

    3. The west Canadian provinces need their own federal division. Plain and simple. West and East Canada are just two far apart, and two different in ideology and vision for what this country should be.

    4. @Key K
This would be met with much contention and consternation as it changes the flow of money and the influence of the federal government.
      The pushback will be monumental.

    1. Except oil pipelines are under federal jurisdiction and Alberta oil is going no where without those pipelines being approved.

  5. Just remember, that other provincial governments have say weather their land can be used to get oil from Alberta lol

    1. Don’t buy this crock of futile crap. Let’s see how it plays out. See what the lawyers have got to say. But come West, fresh air and little humidity compared to southern Ontario. You know… that shithole.

  6. Ask for the moon and the stars, settle for the moon. I’m happy. Albertans are tired of Ottawa doing what is not only counterproductive to Alberta, but in the long run, counterproductive to ALL Canadians.

  7. This is interesting. If Igor Panarin is correct in his 2008 prediction and the United States splinters into six countries then Alberta would likely join the “New Canada” states. Being the gas station for most of the 49th parallel states would be a huge economic boost. I think the only reason this has got this far is because American interest are supporting it and if they support it then so do I. JMIO 🙂

  8. Hope others show there independence by going sovereignty act , let’s show Ottawa who runs this country . Get rid of the divisionary leader turd-0.
