Alberta just gave a company approval to look at building a hyperloop between Calgary and Edmonton.

A Toronto company has signed a feasibility agreement with the government of Alberta to explore building a hyperloop transportation system between Calgary and Edmonton.

  1. Renewably powered city to city transportation…cool. Let’s also connect BC hydro rich grid to Alberta wind and solar PV rich grid potential. Then we can share renewably powered electricity back and forth.

  3. since oil prices are going to tank, and it will be to expensive to take it out of the ground, use the money from that stupid pipeline your forcing on my province and spend it on a hyperloop before the oil industry takes a hyperpoop

  4. Just how long do you figure it takes to pull the vacuum every time they open and close the doors? What happens if the pressure seals inside the car fail? Does everybody suffocate?
    I mean, sure, it looks futuristic, but nobody ever thinks these things through before they hop on the band wagon? High-speed rail is simpler.
