@Adrian Lee Magill Gas will never be in decline as long as every home in existence in Canada is heated by gas. Gas furnaces are as efficient as electric heat, produce higher BTUs than electric heaters of equal size, and are less expensive to heat with.

Any growth in the oil and gas sector is a short term fix. Harper’s last year in office was a victim of that fact as oil prices tanked.

Alberta had the chance to diversify their investments and economic production and was warned for years that the oil industry would be in trouble. It is now too late for Alberta.
