Congress is considering some reform, but MSNBC’s Ari Melber documents how Congress is debating based on terms defined by the Trump-era cuts and Reagan-era corporate rates — despite Democrats winning back both elected branches of government. Melber highlights how companies like Nike and FedEx pay no taxes and benefit from policies shaped through a campaign finance system that benefits corporations

Somewhere, there is some dude who lives in a trailer who is furious about Biden’s plan to tax the ultra rich.
Hilarious! It blows my mind.🤯🥴
Saving up my food stamps and burning down the trailer park.
@Juan Santos That is all part of the plan, the day America went in to lockdown, I saw the black/green horse coming sometime in the future. I saw a days wage will equal a meal. Now I prepped for this. However I get the sales ads each week from all the groceries stores. Last week, I got 15 pork sandwiches from the dollar store. It was 2 for $1.00 SpaghettiOs last week. 39 cent store brand Mac n Cheese, it was $2.49 for a massive Ice tee mix. I will never buy a 12 pack of Soda for the $6.89 price. I will get the 3 for 10 or 4 for 12 or the 24 packs for $8 or $9 a pop. Pasta when it is .88 cents and so forth. Buy one get one free or buy $15.00 worth of stuff and get $5.00 off. Bread I only buy when it is buy one get one and same with English muffins.
I don’t think you’ve used somewhere correctly in this case. I think there should be a word for all the wheres.
@The Man With No Name prices started going up 3 years ago on most foods especially aluminum beverages because of the trade war, I remember because up until late last year I use to still drink. And you should try shopping at a Kruger branch, aldi, and Wal-Mart. They all have way way way better prices than the dollar store
He’s always rapping it’s so funny
“I’m so glad that we get to die; and not have to keep living through all this greed”
Vegetable Biden is paying all you greedy supporters by stealing from our grandkids. Grow up and get a job.
The only thing the angry pumpkin hasn’t lost is weight.
Doing business in the U.S. should include paying taxes, time for a change of venue.
Word, Ari!
Ari — you’ve done a great job once again explaining a complicated issue… but if the receiving end isn’t able or willing to absorb/perceive, then I’m afraid it’s wasted. The ignorant have the upper hand… keep going though, and thanks!
Such great analyses Ari. Thanks
Nice video Ari! Good stuff
Nike, FedEx and Amazon disliked this video

‘That’s why they call it the American Dream – because you have to be asleep to believe it.’
– George Carlin.
Quoting a privileged white dude. Cool.
George was correct in his life time and even now still very accurate.
this is American where the rich keep getting richer and everybody pay for it
Thats why ive never bought my kids none of their products when they were growing up. 🤑🤑🤑
And they said trickle down economics was gonna work. Biggest scam in US history.😠
These corporations are “citizens” when it comes to political campaigns but some kind of other entity when it comes to paying taxes. It’s time for “citizen’s united” to be remedied by congress. We know they won’t because the same people who would benefit from the companies donations are the ones we would need to change it.
Good educative news ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
