Why did the wait until the last minute Americans interpreters and journalists. I would’ve left in May or earlier. This is insane to wait for the last minute to leave. When they saw Taliban advancing they should’ve left.

Why did Trump not start evacuating the people, he had 11 month after the signature of the surrender to evacuate the Afghan helpers of the US Army. The racist in chief did not want more brown people in the USA, that is why he used Nazi Steve Miller to frustrate that whole process. It is all explained very well by the security advisor of Mike Pence; Olivia Troye.

“Trump recognized that it was inevitable for the Taliban to take over”, so he did give up and the bone spurs hero signed the surrender agreement.

It isnt that easy, people have been trying to get out for years. Add on that the paperwork they need to show will get them killed. We had increased our evacuations at the end of 2020 and then in 2021 we stopped the extra efforts. There are 14k americans already listed/known who need out.. and more who couldnt get thru to get the papers. Remember, the Taliban is everywhere… we were supposed to have military there, we pulled military without notice, while people were trying to travel to airport. Anyone outside of the capital when we left probably wont make it now. Many are beyond Kabul. Brittain and France are rescuing their people… we should do the same. Sad day… there are soldiers still there… we sent them, we need to get them.

I did 3 years in Afghanistan and I can tell you; me and most of the Americans, English, South Africans, Irish, and Polish I was over there with, are done with it. This was always going to happen, whether it was Trump or Biden or whoever in the White House.

It was either biden or 4 more years with a president who believed that he could inspire a radical mob, some of whom were literal nazis, to storm our capitol in order to hold onto more power. Trump was the clear and present danger. I will never apologize for voting him out of office.
Biden was never my first choice but our electoral system meant he was the only feasible candidate. What i dont get is why the speed of the withdrawal? Why the disorganization? More than one thing had to have gone wrong for this to happen. This is bigger than Biden but ultimately buck stops with him
