We are producing too many young men who ends up in criminality, so it’s back to our educational system and the economic stagnation that has been happening in Jamaica since the 1980s.
Until people start telling what they see, and the police can be trusted, I’m afraid this will continue. The citizens are the government. They know who the culprits are. The quest is why are they so afraid to tell? My guess is they don’t think their information will be safe with some of these gangster police who go back to report to the criminals. The force must be cleared of these corrupt police so that the citizens can feel assured of their safety and that of their family when they share evidence. Another solution is social intervention. Jamaica has too many detached youths that are vulnerable to crime. The absentee fathers in the majority of Jamaican households is a big big problem. One man 10 baby mamas, one woman 10 baby daddy, so what do we expect? Crime and more crime..it is a vicious cycle…
