@irishgrl he was a congressman in the nd state legislator & they (not me) voted Heidtkamp out. She could have been brilliant; although she voted with Republicans way to often I thought. ND went Trump both times so you see Heidtkamp was trying to appease both parties to be re-elected for a 2nd Senate term. Well, the farmers got trumped & eventually both covid & Trump trumped conservatives who elected the 2 Republican senators whom fitted well as bookends for Trump.
