U.S. In 'Dangerous Situation' With Virus, Says Doctor | Morning Joe | MSNBC
Thats true.
But we voted one virus out and are entering recovery from it soon. Now, we got to deal with the other virus.
very true because by definition a virus is not alive.
Trump said it would go away on Nov 4th.
He hasn’t spoken much in public since then (the silence is golden) so just imagine his shock that it wasn’t merely a librul media hoax after all 🙁
Eric too, but also all of the right wing “after the election cases will plummet!”
He should have GONE away by now, what’s taking so looong?
What! This should’ve been disappeared after the elections! And also, this is all a hoax and it’ll vanish like a miracle
These people are being sacrificed to the greater good – the reelection of Trump
Everyone needs to take a step back and understand how the actual election process occurs based on federal law, not media reporting.
1) The election occurs in early November.
2) Votes are tallied while officials from both parties (Democrat and GOP) are present.
3) Provided officials from both parties are present during the vote tallies and there are:
a) No credible accusations of fraud.
b) No software glitches.
Then the vote tallies are ratified.
4) If the vote margin between winner and loser is 0.5% or smaller, an automatic recount is required.
5) If the margin between the winner and loser is larger than 0.5%, but either candidate (or a 3rd candidate for that matter) wants to dispute the results, he or she can pay to have a recount performed. The cost if roughly $3 million per state.
6) Once the recount is completed, or if a recount is not necessary, the individual states formally declare the winner on December 14th when they officially cast their electoral college votes for him or her.
7) Then, in early January of the next year, the new congress meets to count the electoral college votes and formally declare the winner.
😎 The new President is sworn into office on January 20th.
This is how Presidential elections work in the U.S. under normal circumstances.
The media cannot decide who wins. The media can simply project who they think will win based on vote totals at a given time. And unless the loser formally concedes prior to December 14th, the election remains in play.
So where are we in terms of the 2020 Presidential election?
For starters, the races in multiple states (Georgia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Arizona) are close enough to require mandatory recounts (within a margin of 0.5%).
On top of this, the Trump administration will be filing lawsuits in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Arizona alleging fraud, illegitimate votes being counted, and GOP officials being barred from witnessing the ballots being tallied.
Whether or not the Trump administration is right about this remains to be seen.
However, the fact lawsuits are being filed means the election will move into the courts. If the courts decide that the evidence the Trump administration presents is compelling, they can require a formal vote audit.
If, during the vote audit, actual fraud is discovered, the court can rule that those votes are no longer valid, the formal vote counts can change, and it is possible that a given state ends up declaring a different winner.
Even if fraud is not discovered by the audits, but there is a particular problem with vote cards (the wrong type of ink was used, the hole punch didn’t go all the way through the ballot as was the case in Florida in 2000, etc.), the courts can deem those problematic votes as illegitimate.
This again can mean the formal vote counts can change, and it is possible that a given state ends up declaring a different winner.
Mind you, that’s if the courts resolve the issue to everyone’s liking on the first go round.
If either party or candidate is dissatisfied with a lower court’s ruling, they can appeal the ruling, which can result in the lawsuit moving up to a higher court, eventually reaching the Supreme Court, which serves as the ultimate arbiter of election law in the U.S.
This was the case with the 2000 election, when the Supreme Court ruled that vote cards from Florida that didn’t have clean hole punches were NOT valid, which gave the state to George W. Bush and resulted in Al Gore conceding the election on December 13th.
None of the above items are conspiracy theory or wishful thinking. These are the actual facts of how Presidential elections are decided in the U.S.
The media doesn’t decide elections. And technically, Joe Biden is NOT the President elect, no matter how much certain people might want him to be.
Remember, he wouldn’t be formally declared the President Elect until December 14th 2020, and that’s under normal circumstances.

Duh duh duh
@Duane Dickson say “lalalalalal I’m not listening”, too.
@Gen M LOL
@Wildman’s Journey so why did trumpty dumpty declare hed won on the night , and declare if he didnt win it was rigged ?
I dont understand how people can justify their recklessness by claiming covid fatigue. Makes no sense, at all
@William H Music 2020 The appetite for lies, and alternative facts on display here is a major factor in why America is ravaged by covid19 and why death is ravaging the not so privileged. Too bad that with the need for 10 mobile morgues having to be deployed, El Paso cannot exist in a state of alternative facts.
Look on the bright side .. there will be homes and lots of other goodies for sale on the cheap once covid has picked the low[IQ] hanging fruit.
They’re tired of the mess they created by not following the rules. And doing the same thing, thinking it’s gonna change reality.
@surely you joke, mein failüre some of those fools are smart. Their critical thinking has been hijacked by years of misinformation from republican propaganda. Some of them are also just dumber than 🐕💩.
@John Mcsorley William H Music is some sort of homophobic screwball trying to get clicks on his tinyurl. Don’t click on his link. Just ignore him, or tell him he’s a dumbfuck, He’s a waste of time & space.
And all your senators care about are the ravings of a dark narcissist
Malignant Narcissistic Sociopath with no conscience. 😠
And 71 million Trump Cult members.
The GOPedo senators and Manchin.
And our so called President is MIA except for tweeting that Fox News is mean to him. January can’t come fast enough!

Duh duh liars
@The Blade That is a fact. This shows how far a certain part of American society has regressed. They really should be called the far back right.
@Wildman’s Journey why publish your novel here? In summary just like in 2016 at this point in time the election is over. Donnie lost. All the rest of your post did not apply in 2016 but does in 2020? What changed? Donnie lost. Duh! Find a publisher.
@The Blade just read is all you have to do. Is that to hard for you to swallow? Yet you’re very quick to swallow whatever the fake news spew narrative is. Is that to much for you to read? Then you need to educate yourself on the process.
@Wildman’s Journey and you are desperate to make 2020 different from 2016. Did you post your novel back then claiming Donnie was not the president elect at this point in time. No. Why? It is over. Biden is the president elect. The media is not reporting lies unless you are talking about FOX, and all the right wing pundits. See their comments from 2016. If you cannot dazzle them with brilliance baffle them with b***sh#t.
Trump’s gross incompetent handling of the CoronaVirus will be his legacy.
Right he going down for killing all these dog on people
@Dementia Joe Teleprompter
lol …ruskis debate….
this one doesn’t he’s a looser…
@Dementia Joe Teleprompter get back to the yos e mite with oranges and united shtates etc if you want to talk about dementia , orange turd cant even string a sentence together even with a teleprompter
@Dementia Joe Teleprompter This is an example of the ‘alternate facts’ that we hear of, I presume. Otherwise can you cite when these parties occurred?
It is called turning a pandemic into genocide
We really are tired of the Virus Pandemic, but likewise angry that the President did not help at all to mitigate the control of the Pandemic, but helped in SPREADING the Pandemic VIRUS through his ELECTION rallies and obstruction ANTICS.
Wearing a mask shows that you care for yourself and others.
Be Safe and Healthy!
@William H Music 2020 Obviously you belong in the bunker. He’ll eat you when his “hamberders” run out. At least Kenneth was wishing you and your unwashed rabble health and safety. Hope you bought yourself a respirator.
William H Music 2020 🙄🙄🙄🙄
That is true. The trumpian death cult see masks as a sign of disloyalty to the failed business man and game show host whom they worship.
@mrmockatoo Trumpty Dumpty, the loser, called it “herd mentality”.
@William H Music 2020 Yep magat projection at its finest!!
Our government has truly asked a lot from us… we pay taxes and follow the rules, just to sit around watching them play games with people lives. People need their help, please do something!
Trump is responsible for a lot of this virus surge, by not handling the pandemic with serious intentions and professional behavior….
@Wildman’s Journey the problem with all that is he won the electoral college by a vast margin as well as the popular votes. Trump’s just grifting his base of subversive thinkers as does fox
Truth hurts, but truth must be told. Mr Trump manufactured Corona Virus, made it available worldwide, and claimed to have gotten Covid himself as well. A website with 4 million views says it all at, http://blog.chinadaily.com.cn/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=1795128
HE IS GUILTY OF PRE-MEDITATED MURDER!! OR MANSLAUGHTER!!
Him and Jared intentionally withheld resources in blue states so they would look worse.
@J C. and it backfired on them now the whole country is spiraling out of control with the virus. Trump has the values of a madman, and the morality of none….
And what is Trump’s top tweet during this crisis: Fox News is slipping and they forgot who the golden goose was. This sums up the Trump presidency, all about him.
He is beyond belief,,,,he is beyond evil.covid could have been better controlled, trump just stuck his head in the sand and concentrated on trying too be dictator, he should be jail for murder plus treason
@shanghi berti The irony is, because of his status and privilege, when covid caught up with him he walked away unscathed, while others perish. The refrigetated morgue trucks are back again, and those who would deny should ask El Paso.
trump has No identity that’s why he always blames everyone else for himself 🙄
Trump does no work as president yet gets paid well.
@david clark Four years ago, I thought at his age with the pressures of the job, Trump would not survive his first term. Of course I had no idea he would treat it as a part-time job.
@MFPhoto1 I don’t even give him credit for treating the job as part time. He does no presidential work at all because of his narcissism. When did Trump ever admonish his followers that called for harm to his adversaries in congress. NEVER.
This is the chosen one’s legacy….., Failure, Corruption, Collusion and Mass Infections leading to the most deaths of any other country.
Truth hurts, but truth must be told. Trump Administration manufactured Corona Virus, made it available worldwide, and blamed on China. A website with 4 million views says it all at, http://blog.chinadaily.com.cn/forum.php?
@Wildman’s Journey “Remember, he wouldn’t be formally declared the President Elect until December 14th 2020, and that’s under normal circumstances.” According to who? There is no official count until Jan. 6th 2021. On that day Mike Pence President of the Senate will announce that Joe Biden is the winner.
“Since 1963, U.S. federal law has empowered the General Services Administration to determine who the apparent election winner is and to help facilitate the basic functioning of the president-elect’s transition team.” Also a case can be made that there is no official title of “President Elect” It is a description not a title. A reference to the persons circumstance that is to be sworn in on Jan 20th.
@Treefitty Foh Dream Dream Dream! The election hasn’t been called. You are partially correct but you are being lied to. The process is always the same. If Biden wants to tout and patt himself on the back as President. More power to hom but it doesn’t do him any good when his opponent never conceded the election. Maybe you need to read the process over and go precept by precept.

@Treefitty Foh According to MSNBC? Your question is stupid and you know it. According to the process of how our Republic and Democracy works. Read the Constitution. Read the State and Federal laws of the electoral process. Come on Man you should know this. The media is lying to you. I hate to tell you this but come January you’re in for a big letdown. Here read it again.

@Iskandar Khayon Population of Singapore is less than that of Germany. We went into couple of lock downs and had it under control
Time for some “adult behavior” on the Hill. C’mon Republicans admit defeat and get Don out of Office. We need people with energy & a plan, NOW!
Adolescents in adult bodies. Reptilian brain thinking of fear, hate and anger. No higher-level thinking.
@The Blade 😬😬😬 They are really doing the country a disservice, but who put them there? …… party loyalists who care nothing about previous conduct, but blindly supported them. It is unfortunate but if a political party sends a dog as their candidate people will support it. Many of these men need to be weeded out of holding any public office, and that has been demonstrated time and time again starting with the leadership within the party.
If people aren’t complying with recommendations by now, there is no excuse for them at this point. This is pure selfish behavior that is taking life.
@petmom ful and to you. And to everyone really. <3
it’s worse than selfish, it’s arrogant, & it’s willful ignorance
@Patricia Soebagio Yes. You know what is really strange at my house? My husband is a heavy smoker, and he drinks. He is very thin and does not care in the least about eating right. He is rarely sick, and has the attitude of, “nothing will happen to me” or, “I will die when it is my time to die.” My sons seem to have this same attitude. Everyone smokes or vapes, eats crap food, and they think I am nuts for eating healthfully or worrying about Covid. One of my boys, age 40, just started doing dip!! I told him he was crazy. So I am on my own here. This frustrates me and I worry I will end up my husband’s caretaker when and if he does get ill.
@Samira Best No it’s not just Trumpism. I’ve seen it with minority and Hispanic and Brazilian communities. They won’t fking stop the social gatherings. They just won’t do it and they get screwed. It’s crazy. They just won’t stop the fking social gatherings because it’s too engrained in their cultures and some are so stubborn and stupid, they have no idea how stupid they are, so they somehow think they know better than experts. Even as it kills and destroys their communities.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Why do you keep saying Congress, it is The Senate that is holding back, not Congress.

LA Times Blames Seven COVID Deaths On Small Maine Wedding That Victims Did Not Attend
@Anita Carter and who protect the people.
@Valerie Watkins Regardless at the end of the day, it is the Senate majority that have the last word and it usually favor those in power, not the general population.
@Ben Younger, yes McConnell is a terrible, evil person. He calls himself the Grim Reaper! He looks like death warmed over😂😂😂.
To be exact: The Republican party lead by a corrupt President!
This is very sad, no stimulus from republicans while they stand by a loser.
They are not Republicans they are Trump’s Party. There loyalty is to Trump not Country. They are cowards, they won’t move unless Trump give them the order.
Better to be tired, listening to the doctors, than dead, listening to Trump.
I have a few that make more sense. . . if of course you’re not a COWARD.
Better to die standing than it is to live kneeling.
Who taught you to reject Freedom, and to literally advocate for Govt. CONTROL over your being?
“That’s the price we pay to live in a FREE society. . .”
Who said that 🙄, I can’t call it, but it’s what the philosophy of the Constitution is — DEAD BANG!!!
Look at what you wrote!!!
🤮🤮🤮
What taught you to fear death so much?
Aftet-all, that’s what this is all about, right?
The State can’t save your lost soul.
Rom. 10:9
Nina Khan..you a brainwashed khant
@Jason Wildey Nooo… clearly you’re brainwashed 🤐🙄
True! Trump has his “cult” that will do whatever he says.
Let’s get real….this virus “will” get worst, Americans gonna have to tough it out until 20 January!!
