Yeah, it’s amazing what kind of medical care you can get *when you’re a multi-billionaire celebrity president.* I imagine that with the amount of money that went into saving his life, you could have saved, I don’t know, maybe 200,000 American lives instead?
According to the CDC, about 2.4% of the US population has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and of those cases, 2.7% have died. The majority of people that have died suffer from multiple chronic conditions.
@bob sapp The population of the USA is 328.2 million people. 2.7% of that would be 8,861,400, around the population of New York City. All of a sudden, 2.7% doesn’t look like such a tiny amount, does it? More importantly, that percentage is probably lower than it actually would be if every American citizen catches COVID: The overwhelming majority of Americans have multiple conditions that can cause COVID to become life-threatening, including obesity, heart disease, and high blood pressure. We are not a healthy nation, and we are the most at risk of widespread casualties if COVID cannot be contained. Every country in the world but us has proven that COVID can be stopped if we just listen to the experts, and that’s because the current administration of the USA has proven itself spectacularly incompetent when it comes to handling a real crisis.
