@James Brandt It`s a systemic problem, starting with reprocessing the difficult american history of rascism and violence within the country and the democratic system in general in the US (to much money in politics, electoral college, cherrymendering, controlling news outlets like Fox News or Facebook/Twitter, that spread lies every single day etc..). Germany started 2 world wars, elected a guy like Adolf, killed over 6 million jews and other ethnic minorities. We have a difficult history aswell. But we tried to learn from it. Although the right wingers also rising here again, we have the AFD party in the Bundestag, we still keep democracy alive and elected rather decent people like Merkel, who isn`t perfect, but in comparision to Trump..almost a saint;-)

deb polocz Okay, the biggest example is violating the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, which prohibits benefitting financially in any way from the Presidency. Intentionally interfering with the Postal Service, another Constitutional construct, could well be number 2. Tampering with witnesses and obstructing justice is an easy 3 (check out history: it’s true). Failing to listen to expert advice (or follow the step -by-step playbook that was left by the Obama administration on how to fight epidemics) has led to tens of thousands of unnecessary deaths from COVID-19, and he STILL has not used the Defense Production Act to ramp up our production of PPE for hospitals or for testing swabs and reagents, which are still in too short of supply for out testing program to be effective. That’s 4. I could go further back into his presidency to find more, but this is easy enough that even you could do it yourself.
@Dolores Reynolds i agree. The ppe though was ramped up. Except not for our country. They are shipping it to other countries for profit to a few people/companies. It’s been common knowledge since march. Out of trumps own mouth. If it’s possible. It will be a glorious day when they reopen the cases on stone, and all the other cases. Properly sentencing these people that clearly were “managed” by barr. So sad.
