Greetings from South Africa. I live in an old age complex. We have been following the rules – masks, sanitising, social distancing etc. My helper who lives with her family in the town said to me today that one thing she had noticed was that there had been no flu this winter. She didn’t know of anyone catching the usual flu. Seeing that it is now spring here, I found this bit of information very informative. So the masks, etc do work even for flu.
Our son-in-law was feeling ill two weeks ago, with symptoms that sounded like covid. He’s a VET and was told someone would ‘call him back’. Oh, they did, a week later, and told him they didn’t recommend scheduling a test. Lunacy.
