@Real Deal Most of the states – I believe 41 – have some kind of requirement for facemasks to be worn in public. If both people are wearing masks, the transmission rate is very low, even if one person is infectious. That doesn’t hold true if only one person is wearing a mask. The virus is transmitted through the air and not just directly from one person to another. Small viral particles can linger in the air for at least 3 hours after someone without a mask on exhales. Even an N95 mask only offers 95% protection against inhaling these small particles. The US is a very dangerous place right now, and the only way to lower the danger is for everyone to take this virus seriously and start wearing a mask when they are in public.

One lesson to be learned from fascism is that it’s initial supporters mistakenly think that their common ground issues (mostly based on fear and hate) will not put them under the jack boots of those same fascists.
Fascists find conservatives to be useful tools to help them gain power but as the Lincoln Project and others can attest, the fascists (Trumpists) have gone far away from anything resembling actual conservatism.
The anti-government militias might delude themselves that they are not going to be stomped on at a later date but history has proven they are on the list unless they put on the jack boots and fall in line; many of them already have but this just indicates they were never actually patriots in the first place.

When it comes to the overthrow of dictators to replace with a democracy, the police/law enforcement will almost universally side with the dictator, but the military are the swing vote. If the protests remain non-violent, like these ones have, then the military will generally choose to respond to violence from the dictator’s employees by turning on the dictator & standing beside the people & protecting them …. & so the power shifts & the people take control of the country
