The common cold is a coronavirus… no vaccines there.
Lone Wanderer yeah but the reason we never made a coronavirus vaccine before is because we never really needed to before. We already have immunity against the common cold, and even with other coronaviruses like SARS and MERS in which we don’t have immunity against, they died out before a vaccine could be made, and so funding for SARS and MERS vaccines were cut. What makes COVID-19 different from all the others is that it became so widespread that it simply isn’t going to die out on its own and we don’t have immunity against it. Therefore a vaccine is still possible and is essential if we want to wipe out COVID-19

We all say really dumb things at times.
R G ok let me explain it. When SARS, for example, started spreading, scientists started to design a vaccine that would protect against SARS in case the pandemic got to the point where it wouldn’t go away naturally by quarantining the sick and would probably continue to exist for several years in various parts around the world, much like COVID-19, where a vaccine would be the easiest and most effective way to protect everyone from the virus. However, unlike COVID-19, SARS died out on it’s own before a vaccine could be made and approved, thus all funding for the development of those vaccines was cut since a SARS vaccine wasn’t necessary anymore. Seriously, how hard is it for you to understand this?

Amazing, isn’t it? Any celebration of Canada is met with cries of “racism” and “colonialism” — and now they (along with any protests to reopen businesses so business owners can support themselves) are responsible for Covid resurgence. But any time it’s a protest against Canada, and/or for alt-left causes (like BLM), they are magically exempt from being problematic.
It says something when the hangover from “illegally partying” is far worse than this covid flu.
From what I can tell from the headlines, a piece of cardboard with BLM written on it actually repels the virus. That was the party attendee’s mistake. They forgot their cardboard signs.
