I’d hate to be a kid today watching this. I was born in 1950 and grew up with fear of nuclear war. By 1962 and the Cuban missile crisis I was 12 and my nerves were shot.
I’m a few years younger. For me, it was the entire 60s decade and thereafter. The Cold War, President Kennedy, RFK, MLK, the Vietnam war, and all of it. Kent State. I can’t get some of those pictures out of my mind ever. These kids are going to remember all of this, and I feel for them.
@Betty Clark I was born in 1955. I will never forget the photograph of a young woman mourning the death of a male student at Kent State, her arms outstretched as if she were being crucified.
History will show those to be “the best of times”…
I doubt the schools will open up. In one month, our cases are going to blow up so badly, they won’t be able to open. We haven’t seen anything yet! We are going to be closing down again everywhere I think.
