Trump Administration Pressed For Answers Over Russian Bounty Intelligence | Andrea Mitchell | MSNBC

Andrea Mitchell is joined by former CIA Director John Brennan, former U.S. ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul, and Congressman Max Rose (D-NY), to discuss the latest from the Trump administration, where they're denying the president was briefed on intelligence that Russia offered bounties to Taliban militants to kill U.S. troops in Afghanistan, and what Congress is doing in response, as Congressman Rose says it appears the president and his administration "ignored this intelligence." Aired on 06/29/2020.

    1. That’s where you’re wrong. It benefits Putin, and Putin has something that benefits Trump. So, Trump knows to keep quiet and do nothing, so as not to upset Putin.

    1. @Pauline Babb It’s Insane! The focus of killing American.Soldiers is now centered on if a Commission rather than an hourly wage is the best payment method for services..
It’s time to withdraw US Troops from North Africa so they can’t be killed. It’s insane Pauline.

    2. And that’s what a Fake president does. He is the real hoax who doesn’t know how to run a Country. It’s been all about him, since day one

    3. The next time repubs put someone in office without ANY political experience do a complete legal and moral background so that we won’t EVER again deal with so much ignorance and dumb foolishness!!!

  1. I’m sorry but if Trump knew about this Our military should get together and put a bounty on the Trump administration.

    1. Bruce There is NO way the Traitor in Chief didn’t know.. HE KNEW .. no “if’s” about it .. !

    2. His quote of the word “HOAX” is why over 125,000 people are dead right now in this country! This man needs to be removed because he is a threat and a liability to this country!!!

    3. I saw earlier today that Iran has issued an arrest warrant for Trump over the Soleimani killing. They could arrest Trump and hand him over to them :^D

    1. Isn’t that like saying I was impaired at the time I was driving intoxicated. There for I’m innocent.🤣

    2. After almost 4 years… it is not “ignorance”.
I don’t know what the worse case scenario is out of the few possibilities.

    1. You can say that again, he has nothing to do with intelligence, he is getting better at drinking a glass of water this may take some time, meanwhile we are seriously lacking in any leadership.

    2. What’s intelligence? Trump has intelligence? LoL!! 😂😂😂🤠🤡👹🙈🙉🙊😾💩👺👽💀

    3. He also has nothing to do with compassion. He has nothing to do with running the country , except to run it into the ground.
It’s been very clear from the beginning of his term that he only cares about Donald Trump.
By this time tomorrow, we’ll have 130 thousand dead Americans that he doesn’t care about, so do you think that he cares about a few dead American soldiers?

  2. President Obama would have already kicked no less than 2 dozen Russian diplomats out of the country, and slapped Russia with a crippling round of economic sanctions. Unfortunately we now have an illegitimate president who was compromised by the Russians from day one.

On Dec 29 2016, President Obama announced his retaliation for Russian interference in our  presidential election, ordering sweeping new sanctions that included the expulsion of 35 Russian officials and their families from America. Obama’s order had given the affected diplomats just 72 hours to leave the country.

In a statement President Obama said he would respond to cyber-attacks by Moscow “at a time and place of our choosing”, Obama said Americans should “be alarmed by Russia’s actions.”

“I have issued an executive order that provides additional authority for responding to certain cyber activity that seeks to interfere with or undermine our election processes and institutions,”  Obama said in the statement.

“Using this new authority, I have sanctioned nine entities and individuals: the GRU and the FSB, two Russian intelligence services; four individual officers of the GRU; and three companies that provided material support to the GRU’s cyber operations.

“In addition, the secretary of the treasury is designating two Russian individuals for using cyber-enabled means to cause misappropriation of funds and personal identifying information.” He also announced the closure of two Russian compounds in the US.
Obama added that more actions would be taken, “some of which will not be publicized”.

Some treachery involving Trump’s people took place later that same day.

KT McFarland, who was Flynn’s deputy, was first interviewed by the FBI in summer 2017. She said at that time she didn’t have a precise memory of whether Flynn had spoken to the then-Russian ambassador or what they may have discussed.

But shortly after Flynn pleaded guilty in December 2017 to lying to investigators about his conversation with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak about the sanctions, McFarland spoke to the special counsel’s office. She had reviewed her notes and documents by then and walked back what she previously said — this time saying that she did remember from a conversation with Flynn that he had discussed sanctions with Kislyak. 😂 Well no sh-.t.

On Dec 29 2016, McFarland, who was at Mar-a-Lago with Trump at the time, wrote in an email to a colleague that sanctions announced hours earlier by President Obama in retaliation for Russian meddling were aimed at discrediting Trump’s victory, and would make it hard for Trump to ease tensions with Russia.

“If there is a tit-for-tat escalation Trump will have difficulty improving relations with Russia, which has just thrown U.S.A. election to him,” she wrote.

Trump was at Mar-a-Lago on December 29 when McFarland and Flynn spoke by phone about Kislyak.

    1. And Trumps responsej”Duh. Nobody told me” . Maybe he shouldn’t nap during security briefings.

    2. @Hugo Beras The current INCUMBANT
WILL BE LUCKY TO MAKE IT UNTIL AUGUST. (Sorry, I refuse to call that POS
A president.) He is anything but a president. VOTE BLUE 👋 BYE-DON2020

    3. That is the difference between a real president and a fake president. Oops, did I just refer to Trump as a president? That was a first for me.

  3. When it comes to Trump choosing between America and Russia, America doesn’t stand a chance. His track record has proven that he will choose Russia everytime.

So Putin invades the sovereign country of Ukraine, engages in nerve agents attacks in England, shoots down a commercial airliner over Ukraine, killing all 298 passengers, including 80 children, he interferes in our presidential elections, and now we’ve learned that he has placed a bounty on the heads of our troops in Afghanistan.  And after all of that,  Trump wants to reward Putin’s tyrannical behavior by lifting sanctions on Russia, and bringing it back into the G-7.
Let that sink in for a moment. Take your time….

    1. @Desperado5501 and the USA needed the Taliban to force Russia out of Afghanistan. And the USA needed the Kurds to fight ISIS but totally betrayed them – that was your tRump that did that at the bequest of Erdoğan.

    2. David J
If he can choose an inanimate object, or statue of a dead traitor who wanted to keep ownership of slaves… chose ‘that’ racist symbol over American troops… well, that should tell even his ignorant supporters that he is Not here for Us… or the USA.

    3. @eltorocal Very good point! It also shows that Trump has a two-pronged objective: please Putin and please his bigoted/racist/xenophobic base. Those are his sole objectives. America? Rule of law? Democracy? What are those?

    1. Think about who he is throwing under the bus… worse, that whoever that is may allow that/forced.

    1. Lol now thin skinned, entitled, purple haired SJWs like you care about dead American soldiers? Pssh good one

    2. The liability imo is how one man can disconstruct so many alliances the US had and other countries have spoken up and said while they will still have relations with the US of course the damage done will not be over just when Trump leaves office.

    1. @The Blade As also a veteran you are right! If Obama had done that the repubs and supporters would have attempted to burn white house to the ground!!!!

    1. The big joke is this… Putin joined the trump organization, not the other way around, but that’s okay, he owns it.

    2. @Lars Jones You really think Putin would do that? No, he bought Trump. Trump isn’t intelligent enough to make such plans.

    3. @Warmage Two Crows Putin “owns” the Trump Organization, TO is doing a hostile takeover of the us huh?

  4. Trump is 100% compromised. It’s either the pee pee tapes or he is deeply in debt to Russia. It’s probably both .

  5. So we tell the britts in march and trump calls putin his friend in May. Sounds about right for trump

    1. @Kay Keelan We probably need 11 COMMITTEE HEARINGS ( LIKE BENGHAZI ). REPUBLICANS only CARE about CLINTON.

  6. trump has officially gone full trump, he needs to be removed, even if Americans have to deal with Pence until the fall

  7. Max Rose… I don’t think This admin “IGNORED the INTELLIGENCE, No…they chose to not disclose their knowledge of it.

    1. I’m sure it was refiled in some secret file just like his “perfect Ukrainian call”. You know the one where he was extorting a foreign leader for his own personal gain. He’s a Traitor. Anyone supporting him is also a Traitor.
