38 Democratic governors and 15 Republican Governors in the history of Missouri. Recognized by the Confederate states as a Democratic state and adopted into the Confederacy (even though it was a Union state). This would make it a VERY Democratic state, with Democratic policies written by Democratic governors that oppressed minorities nearly a 3:1 ratio of Democratic:Republican Governors. This would make it a very Democratic area by the way historically speaking…Unless we ignore history, facts and statistics.

@Tre Selor “This area” does not mean the entire state of Missouri. Secondly, in recent history, last 30 or so years, this area has voted republican. I think this is a more relevant perspective to current events than the entire history of the entire state of Missouri provides.
