Ms. Byrd they haven’t been in an ED or ICU lately and witnessed patients before they die. Or the makeshift morgues outside hospitals in New York City. It wasn’t pretty. We will have 100000 dead by next week and people don’t get that wearing a mask protects the other person. It’s such a complete disregard for your fellow citizens it just makes what other countries always believed the arrogance of Americans. I’m a Canadian nurse but I live and work down here.

Not a lot of people wear protective glasses, although infection can occur even more easily through the eyes (that’s true also for flu).
But if everyone covered their mouth and nose by a mask, everyone’s eyes would be less at risk.

He feels testing is overrated because the more he test, the higher the number of infected Americans gets. In his eyes that is bad, well it makes him look bad. In my eyes he gets what he deserves.

You are absolutely correct on that, most people are infected but they don’t know it cuz of the lack of symptoms but they are contagious.
