  1. All government employees who are at home, getting paid, should be working in these places. Or not get paid.

    1. @S. E. I’m sure that they are looking for volunteers! Call in / check you local volunteer board.

  2. Are you kidding? Teachers only care for themselves, no money no talk.May be school janitors could..

    1. @Lawerence Cohen
Maybe learn when to use capital letters like at the beginning of a sentence only.

  3. If they are redirecting education workers to health care how can you open up for business? Are you expecting a HUGE spike in case???

    1. More important how the hell do you expect them to help? The custodial staff would be more of use.. I mean they might as well just open the schools and take there chances at work

  4. This is constructive plan that Doug’s team should be acknowledged for brokering. The Federal government best keep their hands off. They wreck all they touch.

  5. “I went to university to be a custodian at a hospital”. The education minister has huge cohones.

  6. if the teachers are still getting paid send them to work at the hospitals to work for their money instead of sitting home collecting

  7. Finally teachers working in hospitals will finally know what real job is . Teachers never work shift work like doctors and nurses . School teachers are lazy and overpaid .

  8. He knows teachers are not gonna help at long term care. He just wants to make teachers look bad to public.

  9. MP’s should be working in these atmospheres to actually see what is is going on in this province. Maybe anyone on CERB could volunteer as well.

  10. Remember this Ontario if these teachers don’t show up and cry to their. Unions …. don’t back them up again parents of kids !!! Don’t be fooled by their caring way for your children … we will see just how much these teacher care !!!! let watch how this turned out

    1. So will we see you at the hospital tomorrow morning or are you collecting e.i and staying home?

    2. Why do you have such hate for teachers? What are they supposed to to to help at hospitals outside of desk work? You want someone untrained in the medical field to help with administering medicine? That would be like telling a baker to take over as a mechanic. They could do menial labour, but chances are you would be just in the way. If you feel like you can do a better job as an educator, I’m sure you could get an education degree and teach.

    3. Ignorance. You think just because they went in strike they should justify themselves by working in a job they don’t have the qualifications for?
