@del23 aze If I made an emotional argument I’d have talked about my aunt who passed away from covid last week. I gave the last normal flu season data from the CDC bc it was CURRENT. You picked and choose incorrect data from YEARS AGO to suit your argument bc the #’s were higher. And NO ONE thinks that covid deaths should be “ZERO.” And you never mentioned that once until now. You gave last season’s numbers (2018-2019), not the current ones, if you want to get technical. I gave the numbers from the season before that (2017-2018.).
I explained that I chose that year (just over 2 season’s ago) because the number of deaths that year *were similar* to how many we’ve lost so far.
Yet some people are expecting close to NO deaths from covid, not knowing that we lose tens of thousands every single year from the flu.
Even NY Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo (I posted above) compared the 2 and thought that if we had *more than double the Flu deaths* (from 0.6 %) to what was expected for Covid (1.4 %), that it still shouldn’t be enough to over-worry.
Cuomo: “once you know the facts, once you know the reality, *it is reassuring, and we should relax,* because that’s what’s dictated by the reality of the situation. *I get the emotion,* I understand, I understand the anxiety. I’m a native-born NYer, we live with anxiety.
*But the facts don’t back it up here.*
Funny, I’ve seen Vietnam War deaths brought up during Covid, with *no objection about comparing 2 completely different events* … but compare Covid to another respiratory disease (flu) and those very same people will say they’re 2 different things. smh

I was in Walmart today in the afternoon and I saw this middle age lady have a mask on and she took off her mask and started coughing everywhere I was shocked and no one else saw it I felt like I was in a horror movie and i live in New Mexico!
I was in Walmart and found a million bucks on the floor. I was shocked
States in lock down where the international hub states so oh course their numbers are higher. Meaning everyone comes into the country through NY, CA or IL. Now the virus spreads from those areas to new areas. Just because it hasn’t hit your area hard yet doesn’t mean that it isn’t coming.
Be careful that’s how the bus driver died. a lady was coughing inside the bus and 10 days later he died.

@Kyle Wilzon Whether you have not had it, have it or had it, you are still supposed to stay in your home in quarantine. They don’t know if you can get it more than once. and, people who have recovered are still testing positive. The tests are useless and can only track the spread. We should already be looking at this like the plague. Therefore, attempting to test people only increases the chance of infection.

@R W It tells me that there are supposedly 3.5 million ‘confirmed’ cases, and that such a number isn’t taking into account people who have it that haven’t been tested. There’s also more factors to consider for a virus than just numbers. Don’t trivialize it like that.
