Rural hospitals are dying with no end in sight. In rural areas everyone goes to the same gas station, same breakfast nook, same farm and ranch store, etc. So you have Trumpists that don’t believe in COVID-19 and don’t wear PPE going to the same spots. BTW that increase in contracting rates of the virus probably comes from rural people visiting relatives or going shopping in cities. The sad fact is that “the curve” is just delayed in real areas and having a more elderly population than in cities just means the suffering will occur at a later date. Your guns aren’t going to protect you, nor Jesus.

@Carlos Carlos You think food animals are treated much better, or the sanitation is 1st rate, in N. American slaughter houses or food processing plants? Every animal, bat, pig, cow, camel, fish, shellfish, etc. comes complete with it’s own set of viruses and they can mutate regardless of what country they’re in.
If not caused by co-mingling of animals, it will happen via travel/globalization or climate change (forces animals to leave their original habitants and interact with new organisms, plants, animals, etc.) or just because viruses are just pretty good at mutating.

This racist narrative is really disturbing. I really don’t remember ever seeing such an ongoing and concerted effort, especially one led by a head of state, to stir up this type of racist, blame game, finger pointing over disease in my 60+ years.
We’ve helped people with ebola, tried to aid those places and people affected by MERS, SARS, malaria, etc. and never before has a race or country been blamed.
China didn’t _make_ or _send_ the virus or disease. They were first affected by it, yes, and international travelors going to and from China, Egypt, Italy, the US, Iran, Canada, etc. carried it around the world.
You can possibly blame them for trying to hide what was happening (but it had already spread before they knew they had it) as long as they did and/or try critcize their methods of treatment (though it was brand new so no one knew what it was or how to treat it) or inability to contain it or test for it but those later criticisms, re: treatment, testing, containment can also be applied to all other countries that saw what was happening and failed to act quickly enough or take the appropriate measures.
@milomilo55the shared opinion among the world science community is covid 19 was born in a Chinese live animal market when bat blood and faeces was introduced to pig blood and feces also in the mix was a animal called a pengalin . These markets have been outlawed by the authorities because of there lack of hygiene but continued to exist. So it is definitely the fault of the citizens of China for this world wide plague. I guess the vietnamese people are just as ” racist ” as me against the Chinese because the Chinese were banned from crossing the Vietnam border. @Carlos Carlos There seems to be a lot of confusion between fresh food markets (called “wet markets” in China) which sell fresh veg. fruits, fish, meats etc., and which exist in a many, many countries, European, Asian and elsewhere under the names of “farmers markets”, “Food stalls”, etc. and illegal wildlife markets. The fresh food markets, which are incorrectly being blamed as the sites for the first mutated virus, often get their foods from the same wholesalers that supermarkets do – just like many so-called farmers markets do elsewhere.
Where the virus is actually suspected to have originated is not the farmers markets/wet markets but illegal wildlife markets that are gang or criminally organized – and not supported and/or regulated because they’re illegal. Illegal and/or exotic animals aren’t limited to China. Think you can’t find non-regulated, non-inspected _illegal_ animals like muskrat, bobcat and rattlesnake being sold for meat in the US or similar non-legal animals, being housed together, and sold in almost any country?
If you insist on targeting some race or country then critcize them for not being able to better control criminals and gangs because that’s who runs the illegal non-inspected, non-regulated wildlife markets – in all countries.
I’m not ignorant. I just like facts more than playing the blame game because it serves no purpose and could be aimed at any country for any number of things.
Edit: I assume you’re willing to take the blame for any/all illegal activies carried out by American criminals, right, because “it is definitely the fault of the citizens….”
