I’m a nurse in the ER but I used to work on a post open heart floor, after patients had surgery. we would get them up. make them walk, and use an incentive spirometer because these things help prevent pneumonia. The pneumonia that you get from COVID is not treatable because it’s not pneumonia from a bacterial source, it’s a viral source and right now they have no antiviral medication they know to work. Get up, walk, breathe deeply, also chest physiotherapy works to keep mucous out your lungs…youtube how to do that, its simple to do.
@Opposite Lock they are testing it in some hospitals now.
@Karl K I hope your comment is sarcasm
@ghost Thank you very much for sharing this video, it’s really informative and well explained. Stay safe x
@Angeltighs My pleasure š
You too, be safe and well and best of wishes
@Opposite Lock FDA has approved hydroxychlooquine to be used for coronavirus while official clinical trials are underway during pandemic. If you get virus, ask your doctor.
BUT CHRIS IF YOU NEED HELP TO BREATH YOU HAVE TO GET HELP WITH BREATHING FROM THE HOSPITAL OR GET A PRIVATE DOCTOR …GODBLESS YOU CHRIS …
Shalonda heās Chris Cuomo the virus should be more worried
āDonāt just lie downā makes sense…If Iām not mistaken itās been medically proven that when your on the go/active your immunity gets stronger. FYI
@BASED įį you are a Evil FUCKER!!!
@FlaviusMaximus1967 This is far too new for anyone to be pumping out advice. However, as with any virus, the better your immune system is, the better chance you have to fight it off. Some old people have fought it off, and some young people have not. Now, doctors are worried about the heart! Good grief…it just gets worse:

@Rock Free World I agree. A little fresh air might help too.
Actually our own Immunity kill us like a response on virus infection, not virus directly.
You shouldnāt be lying down with pneumonia anyways. The liquid pools. Take echinacea vitamin c and eat fresh fruits and vegetables
āI can do this all dayā Captain America
Haha I been watching that movie like crazy lol
@Papa Smurf connecting dots. I’ve wondered why certain people were given it. Yet it sounded familiar, I have lung problems, in the beginning a couple times I was given the stuff. Im on board with the use.
ā@john abbot No apology requested, no worries. I will say I like Trump’s economic tactics in the short term, and certain policy positions and foreign policy positions, but not all. He speaks terribly, and he is overtly optimistic, and self-praising, while easily harsh to others. Cuomo and the MSM are doing an amazing job of re-electing him. I’m for Trump in this election but I’m not as enthusiastic about Trump as a president as I am about seeing what happens to democrats if he wins again. It’s definitely going to be a wild election.
@Dave May you know, I think the most I would like to do is when he praise’s himself and expects other’s to do the same, is to reach in there and wring his neck. And slap the stupid right out of him.
@Dave May
Do you have a link to that doctor in NY who had been using the drug treating hundreds patients and seeing good results and having no deaths? I only know about the anectodal trials in France with only 23 patients and experts are really skeptical if this drug will work as a treatment. I really don’t understand why Trump is propagating it so much. We will have to wait and see.
Having gone through none of this, I will say that this attitude is in itself encouraging and brave. Thank you for sharing!
DULCE VASQUEZ He is a face of hope for people who may be on the verge of giving up. He is a face of hope for all of us. Iām thankful for him. I applaud him because he could have kept his diagnosis a secret.
many will have this attitude if your own life is dependent on it…
Attitude is everything. Especially while the 24 hr news cycle is scaring us outta our wits. FAITH over FEAR.
When you say ālayer upā with a fever does that mean you add layers of clothing…to break a fever perhaps? Iām so appreciating your generosity while going through your personal hell…and Iām saying a rosary šæ daily for your complete recovery (so youāll know). Iām believing youāre the one āš¼ to beat it. Youāre loved by more than you know, weāre rooting for you, cheering you on and seeing that your going to accumulate the body of one who becomes immune, fully restored. Every time I see you my heart breaks š that you or anyone would have to go through this. Iām with ya.
That’s exactly what it means. A fever is the body’s way of cooking the bugs that are making us sick. By keeping the fever going but not overdoing it, you are letting the immune system do its job.
By stretching the chest out it moves the fluid through the lungs.
ASMR touch, I totally agree. I had breathing problems in the past and that was the number 1 thing they kept telling me to do – deep breaths even when it hurts.
Heat seems to help. I am on Day 22. I have kept my heat at 80 to 83, done tons of steaming and lots of hot tea with ginger and honey. Plus plenty of Vitamin C. Turn the heat up AND sleep under a comforter.
@That Girl At The Party I hope you are improving and have people to help you. Thanks for sharing with those of us who haven’t had symptoms…. Yet….
That Girl At The Party thank you šš½ wishing you complete recovery and restored health. ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøšš½šš½šš½šæā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
did he just say he got a call from a friend of a friend of a friend? basically a stranger..
after a while a stranger is the one that can spread a little light on a situation when you get trapped in a bubble of information – i never watch CNN, but I am interested in whats going on in the comment section š
The President is a stranger.. You are affected by his decisions everyday.
Best wishes Chris! Stay Strong! Beat the Beast! I’m rooting for you!
I like how he opens up on a human level. My mind is changing of this man.
@Alexandra you sound dumb
@B.b. Gun you are a horrible person
Lu Dy You can think what you want. Like I said, no one has to believe me but I hope that people look at Chris more closely after seeing my comment and do their own research.
It is important that our journalists have integrity and honesty. Chris is a narcissist and he shouldnāt be trusted. I feel itās my duty to point it out. Btw, I am not a Trump supporter, this is not about politics.
@Alexandra He’s dumb for not being able to decide who to hate?:/
B.b. Gun please tell me what is so terrible about him? I have to admit I only watched him on GMA.
CNN: let change the title of the video and make people think thereās new good news.š¤¦š½āāļø
Glad I watched this – Ive slept all day again today after thinking Id got over it. Am gonna force myself to do light exercise tomorrow.
R he said in one interview not to do exercise but to do specifically pulmonary exercises. Example breathing in for count of 2 then breathing out to count of 4.
Itās a good thing that he looks quite well, no coughing or sign
of shortness of breath while talking so he must be recovering from the virus
thanks god
That’s because he’s a lying sack of crap.
@Jodie Banksits really sad
Endure the fever, up to 103 or 104 (Please do your homework though.)
The rest sounds correct.
Copied:
I’m an RN. I don’t know the author to give them credit, but these seem like some good ideas. Please take care. Sending prayers. God speed Jeremy, you can beat this and get back to your daughter.
Good information from a respiratory therapist ( Copied / Shared ):
CORONA Common Sense
Since they are calling on Respiratory Therapist to help fight the Coronavirus, and I am a retired one, too old to work in a hospital setting, I’m going to share some common sense wisdom with those that have the virus and are trying to stay home. If my advice is followed as given, you will improve your chances of not ending up in the hospital on a ventilator. This applies to the otherwise generally healthy population, so use discretion.
1. Only high temperatures kill a virus, so let your fever run high. Tylenol will bring your fever down allowing the virus to live longer. They are saying that Ibuprofen, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, etc. will actually exacerbate the virus. Use common sense and don’t let a fever go over 103 or 104, if you got the guts. If it gets higher than that, take your Tylenol, not Ibuprofen or Advil ( or any type of anti-inflammatory drugs ) to keep it regulated. It helps to keep your house warm and cover up with blankets so your body does not have to work so hard to generate the heat. It usually takes about 3 days of this to break the fever.
2. The body is going to dehydrate with the elevated temperature, so you must rehydrate yourself regulaly, whether you like it or not. Gatorade with real sugar, or pedialyte with real sugar for kids works well. Why the sugar? Sugar will give your body back the energy it is using up to create the fever. The electrolytes and fluid you are losing will also be replenished by the Gatorade. If you don’t do this and end up in the hospital they will start an IV and give you D5W ( sugar water ) and normal saline to replenish electrolytes. Gatorade is much cheaper, pain free, and comes in an assortment of flavors.
3. You must keep your lungs moist. This is best done by taking long steamy showers on a regular basis. If you’re wheezing or congested, use a real minty toothpaste and brush your teeth while taking the steamy shower and deep breaths through your mouth. This will provide some bronchial dialation and help loosen the phlegm. Force yourself to cough into a wet wash cloth pressed firmly over your mouth and nose, which will cause greater pressure in your lungs forcing them to expand more and break loose more of the congestion.
4. Eat healthy and regularly. You’ve got to keep your strength up.
5. Once the fever breaks, start moving around to get the body back in shape and blood circulating.
6. Deep breathe on a regular basis, even when it hurts. If you don’t, it becomes easy to develope pneumonia. Pursed lip breathing really helps. That’s breathing in deep and slow, then exhaling through tight lips as if you’re blowing out a candle. Blow until you have completely emptied your lungs and you will be able to breathe in an even deeper breath. This helps keep lungs expanded as well as increase your oxygen level.
7. Remember that every medication you take is merely relieving the symptoms, not making you well.
8. If you’re still not improving, then go to the ER.
I’ve been doing these things for myself and my family for over 40 years and it has kept us out of the hospital. All are healthy and still living today.
Thank you for sharing this information. We have got to help one another right now.
Thank you!
Im confused with Ā«Ā the virus doesnāt like high temperatureĀ Ā»… isnāt the high temperature designed to slow down bacteria infections? The virus is your own cells
āMaybe itās cultural, I donāt knowā LOL
Excerise makes Covid19 hurt more, itās make me feel dizzy, but I stay active because it keeps me alive
Get well soon, Chris. You probably got sick for good reason: to make us stronger.
lmfao, my god you’re an idiot.
Now I understand why you kept pushing to do the show, even when you clearly felt like crap.
Thank you Chris, lesson taken to heart, physically and otherwise.
Feel better.
When people come forward about surviving this, its good. But.. more people need to. We are caught up in the most negative outcome of this virus. Yes, many people don’t survive it. But many, many more people do.. We need to focus a little more on these cases. We need to let people know there is hope
*few* people don’t survive, but many do.
@IzThat it like 5%? Or thousands and thousands
This virus is so unpredictable, some people have no symptoms at all, some have only minor symptoms, some get hit full force. This beast is really insidious.
This really hit home with me. Iām at fighting it. I agreed that itās trying to soften me up. Thanks Chris I got up immediately. Not going to lose laying down. š

Stay strong! I wish you the best but please stay home if you are sick. Let folks know so they can shop for you and you can do the rest at home. Take care!
Please you can include green grapes also.. i just realized it was not on the list.. take care
Mann send positive energy ur way man!!!
@John Erhinyo Great idea, I saw a video where a Canadian doctor was talking about the response of the immune system and how vitamins boosts it. From what I remember Vitamin A, B6, C, D, E as well as Zinc all play a role in phagocytosis. link with timestamp: https://youtu.be/u7YefBaeub4?t=1498
John Erhinyo cranberries, and also nuts Brazil nuts for the selenium. Zinc also. Apple cider vinegar. Real Apple. Garlic. Coconut water. I also do š š š with hot water liquidise.
Iām the same age as Chris and basically went through the same experience. My first symptoms were gastrointestinal. He explained it perfectly. Donāt be afraid. Just be ready to fight. I did jumping jacks when I could barely breathe. I stuck my hand down my throat pulling up mucus. I didnāt sleep for a week. It was hell but you can do it. Not everyone will get it this bad. Just be ready if you do and fight.
@Jeff Spehar Tell us what you mean, Jeff…I don’t understand your response.
@Don Draper China didn’t tell Trump to ignore it so “the numbers” would be low. I knew that this was bad in January. Trump is to blame for it coming to America. Every single death is on him and his followers who believe anything that a pathological liar says to them. Wake Up…
The first gastro symptoms started 3 weeks ago. Stomach rumbling . A lot of passing gas and burping. That night had a scratchy throat. The next day it began to take off. Had a 103 fever and a horrible sore throat. It seems to effect everybody so differently. Definitely have him get tested. Best of luck
You guys ever notice that someone will put a post up of their experience with the virus, and then another person will respond with a question about symptoms, and the “afflicted” person almost never answers the question. Never responds. Makes you wonder if it is actually a real account…
@Brian Odonnell – Did you get tested?
