there is no cure to the virus (at this time), however we can slow the rate of transmission. We wouldnt need lockdowns if people took this more seriously. The people who think “I’m in good health. I dont care if I get it” are the problem. They dont understand that on average they will transmit the virus to 2-3 other people after 5 days, and each of them gives it to 2-3 others after 5 days. So in 10 days you have 7-13 people who have it from that initial person. And some of those people will need additional care putting a strain on our medical system. So the only way to limit the strain on the medical system is to lockdown. However, this could’ve been avoided if people took it more seriously, like in South Korea and Taiwan. They have more experience than us dealing with this, probably because they have faced more serve viruses. On a positive note, the warmer weather and increased humidity will reduce the transmission rate so we have some help from nature. Please do your part and take it seriously to reduce your potential transmission and educate others, especially those who claim “i dont need to worry” to also take it seriously. It will be over soon enough.

Time for some FACTS which most people haven’t heard while the News and Political Officials fiddle:
People can carry it without having symptoms at all, most carry it for 2 weeks before symptoms do occur.
Within 24 hours of exposure, you’re spreading it.
You do Not need to touch it or be sneezed/coughed on.
Exhalation is enough from an infected person in an enclosed space, or shared ventilation in an office or apartment building, or theater, elevator, hallway, etc.
It can linger in the air up to 30 minutes, so the person infected may be gone and you won’t know.
It can spread a distance of 15 feet (4.5 meters) documented on a bus in China, infecting other passengers.
People with asthma, smokers, diabetes, auto-immune disease, and those over 60 have a much higher mortality rate.
12% of cases world wide are considered Severe to Deadly where medical intervention is required. In Italy, cited as one of the best medically capable Nations in Europe, in the richest region of that country, hospitals are completely overwhelmed with 3000 respirators at capacity, they are having to choose who gets treatment and who will not, while also suspending treatment for most other diseases, such as cancer therapies, and other life saving measures which the might have done for other diseases, but there isn’t the staff, space or equipment to do the job, so they are having to watch people simply die while saving as many as they can.
Symptoms are a Dry Cough (not sneezing) because it attacks the Lungs, Shortness of breath, Body Aches, Fever (your body heating up to fight the infection and is a good response you should not interfere with), Chills, and feeling tired for no reason. You may not have some, or any of these symptoms and still have and be spreading the disease.

Once you have it, your body has to learn what it is and develop it’s own antibodies in the trillions to fight back and destroy it. It is a Novel (new) virus, so nobody has Immunity and their body will have to do the work of developing the ability to fight it internally. There were only 6 known Corona Viruses until Covid-19 being the 7th, so it is Not the same thing as the Flu. These are rare, but becoming predictable as humans continue to push into new habitats and encounter animals carrying disease, and eating freshly killed animals sure does not help, but many believe that’s required for best nutrition and isn’t likely to change since people tend to be Fact Resistant.
There are 2 known versions already as it has mutated with the original “S” strain being less harmful and that is the version that is most widely spread since it has had much more time to do so. The new “L” strain is more harmful, but less widely spread, mostly because China, Singapore, and S. Korea effectively Quarantined the Public and new cases are dropping dramatically in those places as a result. Since it continues to spread globally, there will be more mutations and who knows how they will evolve. Since bats are the original source, it will continue to have a reservoir to keep re-infecting the public over time. Most do not know it but Bird Flu spreads through chicken farms annually, even though it’s not jumping back to people, it’s going to again.
You do not want to be caught in the early wave coming when the hospitals will be overwhelmed. A Vaccine is at least 1 year away, because that’s how development works and there will not be some miracle cure before then. So, expect it to spread to your area. Expect a shortage of supplies and of access to treatment. Quarantine yourself and your family for at least the next 30 to 60 days while cases surge to avoid being caught with the bulk of people who didn’t do anything but continue Business as Usual, refusing to believe, or not caring if they catch it. Even if it won’t kill you because you’re young and healthy, you could be the cause of death for countless others, so stay home and avoid contracting or spreading it for as long as you can do so.
