According to experts, the virus seems to have spread from bats via an intermediary host like pigs, civets, or pangolins. The SARS outbreak in 2003 jumped from bats to civets to humans. It seems the root cause is placing these animals in wet markets with raw meat which makes it easier to jump species. Other countries use wet markets too, but I don’t know if they mix live animals in there as well. Hygiene looks to be a factor.

@Stanley Hudson For one the coronavirus *IS NOT* the flu. It has flu-like symptoms. Secondly, I was referring to the 2003 SARS outbreak because it seems to have been spread in the same manner, from bats to intermediary animal to humans. If you had read the post from start to finish and read the link you would have realized this I was talking about COVID-19.

@J Being confident is good, but telling untruths does not help anybody. The COVID19 does not go away when the weather gets warm. Some viruses might, but this one does not. What a good leader should be doing is telling people how to protect their health through hand washing, masks, if necessary, and making it a priority to have enough oxygen tanks, nurses, and health facilities to take care of people if they do come down with the virus.

Gianni Cashen that was already done a while ago. Find the video someone took of the Singapore airport since flights were cancelled. It’s the 16th largest commercial airport, and there are over 17k in the world.
Unfortunately this virus doesn’t stop at imaginary borders. It’s global at this point, thanks largely in fact to the ability of modern day transportation. Arm yourself with as much knowledge as you can and don’t rely only on what the govt/media feed you.
