Congress needs to subpoena those prosecutors to ask what is going on ? I would like to hear their side of the Barr version.
They should so more Americans can see just how many unelected bureaucrats and subordinates of the elected President believe they are above the rule of law and don’t answer to any elected prosecutorial authority.
We will see just how bad it really is in our government and start to see that for far too long our government has operated in a way where no one is actually accountable to the the President who we elect to oversee all of them. There is only one elected prosecutor in the U.S. That us the President of the United States. Every other prosecutor is carrying out the President’s executive power which is vested in the elected President and no one else. Just like elected District Attorneys. They may allow their subordinates to make some decisions but the final decision of who to prosecute or how to prosecute them rests with the elected District Attorney or the elected President and not to someone who isn’t answerable to anyone. An unelected Deputy District Attorney may make limited decisions on how to or if to prosecute a case but the elected head if that office always gets the final say as long as they hold that elected office.
