Moscow Marsha has a long history of associating with Russian officials on Tennessee soil. Blackburn has a more than decade-long history of meeting with Russian nationals in Tennessee. In 2012, she met with Maria Butina’s spy master Alexander Torshin when he visited Williamson County — her home county — as an election observer.
Torshin, now sanctioned by the U.S. and accused by Spanish authorities of mafia ties and massive money laundering, first came into contact with the NRA via a Nashville-based lawyer, Kline Preston. Torshin additionally served as an election observer in the state in 2012, and swung by again in 2015 for the NRA’s annual convention. Maria Butina was convicted of being a Russian spy, and sent to prison.

wow, is that the young woman who was recently arrested & charged, around 2016? i remember reading about a young female spy who was at one of trump’s press conferences or whatever & she was posing as a reporter & asked a setup question to his advantage. wow, i’m gobsmacked at how many of our repub politicians are involved with russian criminals. the more i learn, the more astounded i am. holy crap.
the proof of trump’s desire to put self-interest before his country, and that it was anathema to his presidential obligation, was made clear his attempt to walk back his helsinki remark. proof is rarely clearer or more damning.
