@Eagle Eyes – I’ve been through both the fires (week long evac in 2018) and the flash floods (property under 3ft of water in 2019) in the past 2 years. Stay strong and be safe.

This is the worst fire in recorded history. The entire world needs to assist as much as possible in fighting these fires and in the recovery. My best to all Aussie’s. Wonderful people.

Yay bring the rain storms to provide water for the wildlife and to try to contain the fire somewhat while getting as many animals inside as possible. Prayers are with you all. (Note, two of my closest real life friends live there with families, in Perth and Queensland) so I think of them daily as I do the country. Thank you Australia Government for accepting America’s firefighters to help you all. I know you turned down help from here but I am happy you changed your minds. God bless you all, be safe.

@Vickstar As an Aussie this true, yet at the same time 70% of the country voted Liberal (conservative party) so go figure. A large reason why was the Labour party were going to close a loophole on franking credits, resulting in a lot of people’s retirement money, that should be in superannuation anyway, getting taxed. Arsonist that did this should get life to send a message to those who deliberately set fires! Too much rain is better then no rain. Flooding in non population area are not a problem.

Hopefully everyone knows the reason these storms came is because many Muslims came together to pray for rain…otherwise it would most likely still all be dry. Hope it only gets better from here
