Given what is documented of the context: Facility personel was given explicit instructions from healthcare professionals, and we see here documented, blatant disregard of those (even the footage that did _not_ mysteriously get cut off, shows they did not check on him for many hours).
Thus it is legally sound to state that this boy died because of the aggrevated neglect of these US official authorities, that held this minor incarcerated without the ordered supervision and care, despite being medically diagnosed with an acute need of medical treatment well before he ultimately died.
These sympthoms are perfectly treatable, at any hospital, and staff were explicitly aware of his medical condition. There is no “he likely would have died anyway” here. His death is the sole, criminal neglect responsibility of US Immigration’ officials.
