Yes, the president wanted the Ukraine to abide by our treaty to assist with corruption investigations. yes, the president and the doj announced, in advance, that it would seek the help of foreign governments into the investigation of foreign governmental interference in our 2016 elections. No, I do not understand why our president would attempt to disavow malvaney’s admission of that fact other than “optics.” Maybe he wants the impeachment to go forward? I hope it does. Did the president break any law? certainly not. investigating corruption is his purview entirely. do i know malvaney was correct in asserting that is what the president was doing? no. maybe he “presumed” it too? i have no clue but I do know it was no crime and if it did happen that way it is NOT unusual.
