A New York jury found Donald Trump liable for sexual abuse and defamation in E. Jean Carroll rape case

A federal jury found former President Donald Trump liable Tuesday in a civil case for sexual abuse and battery of E. Jean Carroll in 1996 and said he should pay her $5 million in total damages, including for battery with defamation, a verdict that could further complicate the former president's election bid in 2024.
The jury, which deliberated fewer than three hours, also found Trump liable for defamation. Jurors opted not to find Trump liable for rape but rather sexual abuse.
Trump is likely to appeal the verdict.

What I have learned from the Rupert Murdoch case and the Alex Jones case is that if you do a pre-trial settlement you can count on actually getting a financial settlement. But if you go to trial before a judge, that opens it to appeal after appeal after appeal and you may never see any financial settlement. TFG has a habit and past history of appeal after appeal after appeal. He does not like to let go of any money.
Don’t underestimate Roberta Kaplan. She’s a warrior. He’ll pay and after the abuse he and his clown lawyer heaped on this judge, his appeal to the 2nd Circuit will be DOA.
