Fox News and Tucker Carlson, who hosted the network's highly rated 8pm hour, have severed ties, the network said in a stunning announcement one week after Fox News settled a monster defamation lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems for $787.5 million over the network's dissemination of election lies. #CNN #News

That sounded more like a death announcement than a mutual parting of the ways
@NPC FREDO You guys only hate him because he’s gay. That’s stupid. It would be like hating you for being straight.
@mme duvennet exactly Karma has consequencesβ¦.
So shilling for fascism is going to catch up to you timmy.
It turns out Fox “passionately” hates Tucker. haha
β@John Brown Hey there John, Tucker has 3,000,000 followers! How many do you haveπ’? ππ π π π π π π π π
Ladies and Gentlemen… please welcome to the stage… Tucker “But I was JUST ASKING QUESTIONS!” Swanson Carlson Esquire!!! π€£
$787,500,000.00 – Just the price of doing business.
If that is the case then he is too good for them!
β@Tikboy1984 he lost them nearly 800m. If you think keeping that kind of liability is a good business decision you’ll end up in a cardboard box
I’ll bet anything the shareholders were pissed and they threw Tucker under the bus to appease them
@Discreet Anonymus Thatβs nothing compared to what SmartMatic will be getting π. Go go SmartMatic!
Now, it is time, for Rupert, to fall on his own sword. C’mon Rupe, take the hit. You can and must do it.
I’m not gonna say it on television. But I’ll for sure mumble the hell out of it π€£π€£
I heard it. At best he said “bish”. πππ
@Bo Shirk You know he clearly said it and realized what he said and hesitated.
Still laughing
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I speculate that his firing was part of the Dominion settlement. Probably saved fox a few $100,000,000.
Could be actually
He’s just going to News Max. Fox News was becoming a little less dirty for his and his deplorable viewers liking
That.π
One has nothing to do with the other. Tucker did not pop promote the scandal.
Mutually agreed? What does that mean? Did Tucker say “I quit” at the same moment that Fox execs said “you’re fired”? I just love how, even in such a short statement, Fox manages to tell another lie while announcing Tuckers dismissal. They can’t help themselves!
@Johnny Chimpo Actually⦠YOU need to know how the world works. Open your eyes.
@Keeping IT π― i didn’t even know they fired him! i thought they suspended him or something
@Joshua Morrison *”Mutually agreeing to part ways does require simulaneity.”*
No it doesn’t, just how disconnected from reality are you? Take divorce. While you can file a joint divorce application, it’s the case that almost always one party initiates the informal proceedings, by asking for a divorce, and the other party agrees right after, or after some mulling. There is an old Seinfeld episode where Jerry and his gf simultaneously blurt out “I hate you” over a cup of coffee and part ways. Yeah, THAT never happens.
*”Fox is simply trying to obfuscate responsibility here and suggest that Tucker wanted this too.”*
Regardless of Faux’s motivation, I am certain that Cucker Tarlson wanted this, maybe more than Faux, and he wanted it to happen EXACTLY this way. This makes him a martyr. People are celebrating, but they do not realize that this will make right wing nut jobs even more unreasonable and detached. Tethered to Faux in the aftermath of Dominion and potentially Smartmatic, Cucker would have been reigned in. Now he is free to wreak havoc on America, and wreak havoc he will.
@Deleted tell me about itβ¦bet you wonβt
If Tucker had known 4/21 would be his last broadcast, he would have said goodbye to his audience. He was fired, no matter how he decides to spin it.
@Pablo Duh… I think most folks knew Don’s days at CNN were numbered when they moved him to a morning show. The signs were there. Keep up.
Seth Meyers played video of the end of Tucker’s last broadcast where he literally said, “We’ll be back on Monday.” He had no idea he was getting sacked.
@Jeremy Phillips That was soooo satisfying.
Bye, Don Lemon. ππππ
There must be more to this. No way he wouldn’t get a farewell episode if it was amicable.
Dear Zombie Haiku: Sensible comment.
So they agree to disagree!! So what??
@Wesley Gordon: So it’s all very snarish. π€£
After weighing up all the options the powers that be realized there had to be a sacrificial lamb. Now we can sweep all the criminality under the carpet.
Tucker: βWeβll be back next weekβ ππ€€
*Morgan Freeman: βHe would not be backβ* π
Legendary lol
Even Fox knows very well that when you become a liability and no longer an asset, you’re done…
Well it took CNN years to figure that out about Stelter and Lemon.
β@Wesley Gordon you are correct!
@Wesley Gordon It may take years or decades, but youβre gonna look back at this and feel really silly for being really wrong.π
That was like announcing a death of a family member they disowned to avoid a law suit.
Well I guess fox is yet another media news coverage I won’t be watching. Clears up more time in my day
What lawsuit?
β@Khem Neteru Dominion voting vs fox over voting conspiracies
The way she read that statement about Fox and Tucker “parting ways” sounded more like announcing that someone was lost at sea and presumed dead.
Tucker had the highest rated show. She knows FOX is going to lose massive viewers
β@nolongerblocked π exactly we heard Lemon got fired and we don’t care, nobody is sad he’s gone like ok goodbye to him
The similarly between North Korea’s weirdly made-up news anchor and this strangely eyebrowed fox woman is uncanny.
Dominion: “Okay, we’ll take $787.5 million and Carlson’s scalp”.
Murdoch: “Deal”.
I wonder if hannity is next
One has nothing to do with the other. Tucker did not pop promote the scandal.
I wouldnβt be surprised if Fox is about to sue Tucker.
Gotta get his salary back to Fox.
No honour among thieves
Or dominion
Sue him for what?
@Khem Neteru loss of money.
That very terse response screams, “WHY DID YOU PUT THESE THOUGHTS INTO TEXT MESSAGES??? GET THE F*@K OUT, DUMMY! ” πππ
I wonder if this is their attempt at putting distance between them as these future lawsuits come up
So Dominion DID NOT just “settle” for $787M
One has nothing to do with the other. Tucker did not pop promote the scandal.
Fox: “You’re sacked”
Carlson: “OK”
There was a mutual agreement to part ways.
Lol, damn
He would of got a nice pay off
Tucker shows got millions of views. Hes one of the best journalist
@Shrav Cat with cucumber has millions of views also.
6:30 is the best part. βIβm not gonna say it on tv!β (f*ing b**ch). Well, he DOES say the second part πππ
