Will Pete just say it’s common, no concerns here?
He’s just not qualified. Clown world candidate. Needed a transport executive to get it all together. He hasn’t even managed a car dealership.
The real question is, are Trains safe to travel by?
Not if you share a sleeping car with pete around .
Safety first😊
Just my 30 years plus experience as a Captain on wide-bodies…..
Communication. There needs to be adherence to standard radio procedures. Eg : the lead in, “Aborting Takeoff”. The correct call is “Stopping”. The US has a lot of colloquialism, works except when calls are clipped.
Attitude: Busy International Airports [I’m looking at you JFK] often use non standard R/T ” keep on truckin” etc and then become aggressive with pilots whose first language is not english. This cuts both ways, and is apparent even during flightdeck to tug driver push and towing operations.
“[Flight] triple nickel” may sound cool, but it is just as easy to use correct language.
The FAA needs to take a look at London Heathrow, or other European major airports to see how adherence to ICAO standard calls in a calm, controlled manner compares to the clown show sometimes apparent in the USA. Hell, even Johannesburg is a pleasure to operate through…
You are really something
Thanks for your sharing your knowledge to clarify what the problem really is. Sounds like you know more than the airline officials.
You sound like my friend who is a long-time pilot for LOT internationally, when he compares the US to Europe. Even my other friend who is a pilot for Delta Airlines domestically has shared these same issues & concerns. Thank you for sharing your experience(s) and suggestions. Maybe (hopefully) the FAA will look into these issues and find solutions, especially before a true tragedy occurs at one of our US airports.
Pete is looking peeked. Is the job stressing him, or is it something else?
Lack of knowledge of his job?
Sorry Pete but it seems like he’s the worst secretary of transportation we’ve had
When a landing jet comes within 75 feet of a jet taking off, right above and below each other, there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with the system.
Pete’s response “men can be pregnant “
With the unprecedented number of heart failures over the past couple years, my biggest concern when flying is whether the pilot was jabbed.
Obviously we need more diversity and equity.
Anybody: Pete is bad at his job and if something goes wrong he doesn’t do anything to fix it
Pete: They don’t like me cuz I’m gay (literally his response at one point)
What is “uptick”?
This is outrageous
I love how they are not sure why these near collisions are happening and then near the end we get the reason. Air traffic is short people. Ong.
Sure is safe if you have his government issued personal jet
If only there were some air traffic data company the FAA could turn to to help provide vehicle separation data and the likes in situations where they may not be able to
Buttigieg when he speaks it is like he is trying to hypnotise you.
Question is Pete as secretary safe for transportation in general
Not flying until these basic safety measures are in place
“We need more diversity in the field of commercial flight pilots.”
“There’s an uptick in near collisions.”
🤔
