  1. The roads are terrible ., potholes and the environment is in poor conditions .. The government can do better with the improvement of quality of life.. The roads are killers and need serious attention.

  2. Poor road conditions plus speeding, no protective gear, and a don’t care attitude is a recipe for disaster. Unfortunate.

  3. The roads are deplorable ,yes, but driver caution is always required. Not wearing helmets is also dangerous and always illegal . Sad outcome.

    1. We are all saddened by these tragic road accidents but drivers need to slow down and be a whole lot more careful and be considerate of other road users. At this moment I really don’t want to say the things to be said as, I may be considered insensitive to the present scenario. Sure you all get what I mean!

    2. All the more reason to exercise caution if roads are deplorable. Who speeds on deplorable roads? And these accidents are happening on the highways too so motorist behavior is the biggest contributing factor

  4. Those young men are from the area they know the roads are bad and yet they go speeding without helmets….our young bikers and drivers failed to go by the speed limit why speed then complain about length of time emergency vehicle take to arrive we all know the situation so take time….condolences to the families

  5. When the road is good they have accidents same ways, too many bad bus drivers, bad taxi drivers, and bad bike riders, no one have any respect for society and other road users, no one abide by rules and regulations everyone doing their own thing, because they know that when they get caught it’s just a little slap on the wrist, All those road users need to do much better, Condolences to the families of these those young men,

  6. Yes driving fast seems to b thing for these people ,money comes before people life the government needs to fix the road ASAP

  7. And these security companies are so reluctant to treat their guards as full time employees, refering to them as contract workers, devoid of benefits. Shame.

  8. Rip to all 5 deceased however the News said none of them were wearing a Helmet. Am I missing something l thought On February 1st 2023 it became mandatory for all Bikers to wear safety helmets? There is also a strong possibility the van driver may have been over taking illegally and drove into them. However without helmets the odds were against the bikers.

  9. My sympathy to the family of the people who died on the road. Please please please people slow down on the road. I don’t know if lack of knowledge is the cause of the speeding but speed KILLS Accidents will happen but speeding causes death. I am afraid of going into a taxi, they overtake and speed constantly, they don’t care about the life of their passengers.

  10. Young people and all other Jamaican drivers please I’m begging you take it easy on the road follow the road code wear your helmet ⛑️ drive within the speed limit please protect and cherish your life all means necessary My condolences to the families Rip . Sad very sad indeed and please πŸ™ to whoever is responsible for fixing the roads do your dam job

  11. How does anyone get over losing 5 family members 😒I’m here trying to imagine how they are going to handle this tragedy mentally 😒my God this is enough to drive anyone crazy . Dear God give them peace give them spiritual guidance and strength this is too much to for anyone to handle 😒😒😒😒😒😒

  12. My deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the victims may their souls rest in peace. A speedy recovery to the security who are in the hospital .
My opinion is that the Authority should train some police officers and soldiers in a different way to be out in plain clothes and at every corner and in public places, four or more officers be assigned to each area so they can still watch each other’s backs, and switch them as often as possible so no one can figure them out .

  13. My sincere condolences to the families. Even though speeding is suspected to be the cause of the accident, In my 61 years I have never seen so much bad roads in Jamaica. Seems like roads repair is not important anymore. Where is the gas tax money going? People need to start sue the government like in other countries
