Emergency crews in Great Yarmouth, England, located the unexploded bomb in the River Yare prompting evacuations in the area.
The discovery of the more than 550-pound device prompted local authorities to evacuate the area while military officials worked to disarm it.
Drone footage captured by Norfolk police shows the moments the bomb unexpectedly went off.
A protective sandbox was built around the bomb to protect crews working close by. No one was injured, according to police.
Police said no one was injured.
