Residents were warned they may be without power for days after a firearm was allegedly used to damage power substations in North Carolina.

A person "opened fire" at both substations Saturday, Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said during a news conference. He did not say how the person got past the gates at either substation, but a photo from The Pilot shows the gate to one of the substations on the ground.

Two substations in Woodinville, WA were just attacked two weeks ago on the 16th and 17th as well. The person or persons attempted to create as much damage as possible but didn’t steal anything from the substations or my job site directly behind one of them, but they did attempt to hot wire my forklifts, presumably to cause even more damage
