The largest earthquake ever recorded in Alberta, which rattled homes and nerves Tuesday, was probably due to natural causes, says a geologist.

Probably??
Why would it not be natural
Crap ton of fracking
Lots of oil and gas activity right above where the quake took place, so there may be a corolation, but because it was so deep id say it was mother earth doing her thing..
@roof pizza Come on pizza… Science this out. Fracking is linked to seismic events of magnitude 3 and lower on the Richter scale. Rarely reaching 4. This was a 5.3 event. Richter is logarithmic so 5 is 100 times larger than 3. Fracking related seismic events would be barely perceptible by a human observer.
@Jim Trainor lolz.
@roof pizza I’ll take that as “I’m in complete agreement.”
Scientist really going out on a limb here.
“Scientists” aka Liberal politicians.
Stop trying to bring politics into everything, sheesh.
Probably?! LOL!!!
Kaiju Alert!!
our magnetic field is very very weak, and we are expecting a carrington event by 2035
Where did you hear that? the weather channel? they cant even predict tomorrows weather so i wouldnt hold my breath..
Theres a deformity in the area called the peace river arch and a fault system below it, even tho theres lots of oil and gas activity there id also have to say because of the depth, was a natural quake, mother nature doing her thing, so CARRY ON..
REPENT AND SEEK THE LORD JESUS BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE
Probably Natural .?…..?
Danielle Smith Premier of Alberta shook the earth!…Sovvvverrrreignty-eeeeee!!!!
Quick, let’s implement an earthquake tax.
