As to privilege, felony criminal activity like sedition/insurrection/treason is NOT an executive privilege. This is equivalent to the attorney/client crime-fraud exception law and SCOTUS rejected Nixon’s attempt to withhold Watergate tapes and documents as executive privilege.
The cult rants about impeaching Biden, but for policy actions, not for criminal activity which was the basis for both of Trump’s impeachments, the first equivalent to Nixon’s Watergate, and the second for attempted insurrection.
The J6 committee and others keep referring to claims of executive privilege or attorney client privilege. There is a crime/fraud exception to attorney/client privilege and there is also a crime/fraud exception to executive privilege, as defined by SCOTUS in 1974:

What do you mean “*whether* to indict a former president or not”? A crime was committed, to fail to indict would send the message that politicians are above the law. That is the worst possible message that could come from this situation. It shouldn’t even be considered an option to not indict or pursue an indictment.
