Paul Tomlin – the problem is the system counts on a President to actually have strong morals (or any morals) and at least a basic knowledge of the Constitution, Law, and Foreign Affairs.
The lack of brilliance can be made up by surrounding yourself with well educated, QUALIFIED people.
Trump has none of these.
He has placed people that donated larger sums of money to him, did business with him, or favours for him, or his children; that led to incompetence, more ‘favours’ and overspending for luxuries.

Trump shouldn’t EVEN RECEIVE A SINGLE VOTE from any of our Armed Forces service members. If they don’t want to vote Democratic, they should vote independent. Or perhaps they could come up with their own candidate to run for President vs. Trump. Even the lowest rank Private in the Marines, a ‘Gomer Pyle’ type, would be a better President than Trump.

The Admiral is correct. All of what he said is true. Our country’s National Security is at risk.
You see, the fact is that the USA for some reason in any country finds a threat to national security. In other words, if you try, a threat to US national security can be found among penguins in Antarctica. All countries have always defended their state exclusively on their own territory.
Let’s hope there are many more like him still in service.

Please note that Trump’s letter was written right before the Turkish Peace Spring Operation started. Erdogan responded on his Tweeter account: “Mr. President, many more lives will be saved when we defeat terrorism, which is humanity’s arch enemy. I am confident that this joint effort will promote peace and stability in our region” Notice that both leaders are talking about saving lives. It is the media that is working you out, not the Presidents. Sorry, I am not very eloquent with words. Just trying to see the facts through the smoke screen. Once the Safe Zone is established, thousands of Arab, Kurdish, and Turkmen children will be living in peace and will be able to smile again.
