In addition to overseas assignments to South Korea and Germany, Vindman is a combat veteran of the Iraq War, and he served in Iraq from September 2004 to September 2005 In October 2004 he sustained an injury from a roadside bomb in Iraq, for which he received a Purple Heart He was promoted to the rank of major in 2008 and to lieutenant colonel in September 2015

The geneology of Ukrainians is as follows: southern Russians, Little Russians, Ukrainians. The names have changed, but not the genetics. By the way, one priest came up with the name Little Russians, and the Austrians came up with the name Ukrainians during the First World War.
@James C He did say that he is concerned about their ability to do it according to how many losses they suffer every day and “if” they succeed then it is possible to make planned progress. Ukrainians need lots of more soldiers and equipment to achieve any offensive. With no air support there will be devastating losses on the ground.
@Florin Jurcovici Although I kind of agree with what’re saying, I also feel it’s easy to put too much stock in history, history do change sometimes because of various factors that wasn’t there before, and if it Russia’s heading towards another fall, the last one wasn’t that long ago. In one sense everything is different this time, and that is internet and smartphones, and of course there’s people like Navalny whom I hope to see have survived this, who is sensable and has great support. Btw, my point was that I do feel the culture already has changed to some degree. But sure, it might just be wishful thinking more than anything else but I hope not.

Great to see Lt. Col. Vindman back from Ukraine. The sage counsel of our military is always appreciated.
Please have Vidman on the show more. I always look for his commentary and use it when teaching. Heโs knowledgeable, well spoken, served honorably, and stood his ground to protect our country during all that occurred in the Trump administration. Very grateful.
