Journalists generally don’t have good friends, they have “sources”. In the same way, politicians generally don’t have good friends, they mainly have stepping stones to higher up. Although Cheney is doing a much better job as vice chair of the Jan 6 commission than she did as a member of Congress (93 % voting for Trump), I don’t think she has any chance at all to make it as president. Too soon, not enough international experience. But well, should Trump return – “Sometimes they come back” – my guess is he won’t appoint her as Secretary of State….
