Has anyone pointed out that the USA were not at the Battle of France four years earlier with, amongst others, Britain and Canada? Has anyone pointed out how the Battle of Normandy was a time of reckoning for the USA (because of their earlier absences)? That D-Day could have been avoided if the USA had stepped up to the plate sooner?
