President has the power of veto, which is why super majority of the senate is required to convict. SCOTUS removal should have a path with simple majority as long as it does not get vetoed or super majority for subsequent veto override.

I would say no amount of hard evidence (pun intended) will get him off the court at this point. Senators don’t vote on principle, they vote on party. A whole lot of them do at least.

Sad times when rumor is touted as evidence of wrongdoing. In the political and judicial world, impeachment is the death sentence. Career over. All the hard work and dedication thrown down the toilet, and even worse if the allegations were false.

It disappeared because none of the allegations could be proven at all. There were no witnesses. The accusers could not remember when or where the alleged assaults occurred. The latest accusation wasn’t even by the supposed victim. It was from a 3rd party who, again, could not say when or where the act took place. The supposed victim cannot remember such an event.
It should also be noted that one of the accusers and her attorney were referred to the DOJ for lying in an investigation.
A call for impeachment in this case is preposterous.
