    1. @Joyce B And on top,the democrats answer to this problem= let them all come to the USA and waive any normal visa/immigration rules. Give them bed and breakfast while we go over and rebuild their tin-shack huts. We’re going to spend billions funneling money/aid into this region that is not any part of USA. The cherry on top we will be blasted for not doing enough.

    2. @mark price Yes Mark so true. Just like Puerto Rico an endless money pit with corrupt people in charge, stealing every nickel all the while blasting America because it is never enough…we need more money! This country needs to get out of the “helping everyone else business” and stick to only helping this country and the American people. It is time other countries become the worlds “daddy with deep pockets”. It is disgusting how the hard working American people get fleeced. We have to follow the rules or else…while other non Americans breeze right in here and get handed everything no questions asked at our expense. Sometimes innocent Americans pay with their lives helping these people, it is insane!

    3. @Joyce B one thing for sure, these places do hate us, and will bash us no matter what we do. Puerto Rico is the perfect example. We should sever all ties with them and like you said, focus on fixing the USA problems.

    1. Sadly, not the 90 percent of Bahamians who unable to pass for Norwegians. He has made it quite clear what his ideas are about who the US welcome mat is made for.

    2. Promise EDEN more US citizens live in Puerto Rico. Pretty much everyone in Puerto Rico is a US citizen yet they have been treated horribly since Hurricane Maria. The Bahamas is an independent commonwealth with Elizabeth II as its Queen. They need our help as human beings, not just because some US citizens live there.

    1. @MegaTriumph1 LOL… they are just Americans…houses will be built for these people that are not even Americans and “Our” citizens will sleep in the streets, as usual.

    1. @ycart tosey I was busy trying to decipher the covfefe tweeted instructions from Dear Leader on how to nuke hurricanes.
You seem like the type to make sense of those nonsense tweets. Maybe you should do it next time.

  1. 0:16 Is this normal in USA that female journalists touches the stressed women they interview? I have seen it a lot in US news clips. But I do not remember seeing a male US journalist do the same.
If it were me I would properly break down and then I would want to punch her in the face. Hard.
Is it a cultural touchy, touchy thing? Or is she hoping to get a scoop with a crying person?

  2. Not your job? Let me tell you…It is your job!! All the able body residents need to pull together to get through it.. Who’s job is it if not yours?

    1. Yes victim shaming from your privileged vantage point of safety and security is definitely what is needed right nowπŸ™„

  3. It’s so sad, the Bahamians, a modest ppl economically, are paying for the Climate Change brought on by the super industrialized countries

    1. It’s so sad a whole generation is growing up thinking those same loony thoughts when they could go on their computers and search/see that storms, even worse than this one have been hitting these islands longer than we been keeping track of them.Enjoy the kool aid.

    1. That happens yearly. How old are you? Climate change is normal also. Man made global warming is the hal bores b.s. money making scheme.

  4. I think it’s important to remember that these people have lost everything including their family. I think what she’s saying is it’s not her job to do ALL of this. she needs help. But she continues despite being overwhelmed by the situation and perhaps the lack of forethought and self reflection her frustration came out with an ill processed remark. Which none of us who have never been in that situation should judge

  5. I’m a liberal and also have visited the Bahamas for years but why is it whether liberal or conservative do journalists always interview caucasian people in any country even if its predominantly black. When are we going to have some real journalism with journalists reporting from the trenches where the people who have no finances to recover and who starving..yall not reporting the real news..reporters be real and stop reporting all that bullcrap..

  6. Did anyone ever think about the repercussions to the nature? All of this was saltwater. There is a shitload of salt now everywhere in the ground. Can’t imagine that this is healthy for the plants and other life.

  7. People need to help eachother when tbe govt doesnt we should pay for corporations citizens payed for citizens that takes carw of citizebs

  8. I hope when (or if) they rebuild they somehow are able to create structures that can better withstand these storms if that’s at all possible.
