The board decided not to call the guard ahead of the insurrection but did eventually request assistance after the rioting had already begun, and the troops arrived several hours later

Ashlii Babbit’s judgement that day could not have been worse. She tried to force her way into Chambers, climbing through a doorway window while legislators were trying to escape the mayhem, and she was warned. The officer protected them, as he was hired to do. As former Navy, I have a hard time genuinely caring for anything an admiral says. I only saw one or two that gained my respect because most flag officers make rank in peace time by looking nice instead of maintaining a war ready force with decent morale.
