Wow fainting under water π³. Ooooof wonder why? Great job saving her ! Crazy. β€οΈ
And they said it happened to her in the past once also. Does she have a health condition or is she holding her breath too long? Weird.
@William H itβs shallow water blackout common on highly competitive athletes (swimmers)

Thanks for all the replies ! Interesting
Probably vaccine
I understand that having spent ones whole life training hard to participate in such competitions, doing anything that would go against continuing on this path is very hard. But fainting twice (especially in a circumstance in which that can become deadly very quickly) in one year while competing seems like an indicator, that perhaps such a high-stress environment is not good for her. Quite frankly, I doubt that it would be good for anyone.
If itβs unsafe for her to continue competition swimming then whatever Dr. she sees would/could/should have his license revoked. Common sense is dissipating. Fame and fortune are overriding peopleβs instinct for self preservation, humanity is falling more than progressing
It was such an unexpected situation happenning at a sport competition. Thank goodness she is safe.
It has happened to her before though.
If only someone would save us from Biden’s incompetent leadership. π

Probably from the vaccine
When I was a kid I had a condition that caused my heart to short out and I would pass out. The first time it happened was in class I had a big splinter in my thumb. The teacher was going to dig it it out with a sewing needle. As she sterilized the needle with a match I passed out. Everybody made fun of me for passing out at the sight of a needle. The second time was when I was giving a musical performance in class. Everyone made fun of me for stage fright. The last time it happened when I was an adult. It happened in a movie theater during the movie Fatal Attraction, when Glenn Close boiled the pet rabbit. I was rushed to the hospital who determined I had a third electrical node on my heart which caused a short circuit that caused a ventricular tachycardia. I underwent a heart ablation and never passed out again. A heart specialist should look at this womanβs heart.

For all the ignorants out there, Fuentes is from Spain (a country from Europe)
Much respect to them both! Glad the swimmer is ok and thank God for the coach! Again!

this only goes to show that even seasoned swimmers are not safe from drowning. It is summer and there are a lot going to beaches , swimming pools and the likes. So be careful out there, make sure you are with somebody just in case these things happen. Stay safe and be careful. DO NOT SWIM ALONE.

Thank God the Coach was paying attention. Since this was the second time this has happened to her she should let the lifeguard know her situation

@Mohamed Trevino on this I have f UK too are you upset ?
It happens. I’ve passed out in the water before while in highschool due to pushing myself and skipping my breath rhythm in the middle of a competition. It happened again when I made it to BUDs. I almost washed out because of it.
Good on the coach for saving the day. Many would have been slow to recognize the issue let alone act.

So I am guessing , even though you are unconscious, your body still has some kind of safety mechanism built in so you dont breathe? What an amazing body we have.

Think of a baby in the womb.
It’s a natural reflex to hold your breath when your face is submerged in water as a baby, but not in adults. She just stopped breathing when she fainted, which isn’t good on land or in the water.
Great job by the coach and the other swimmer.I’m glad the girl was saved,no thanks to the lifeguards. They were like the cops in Uvalde

Iβm glad sheβs ok. Thank God for the coach!!
If Anita Alvarez repeatedly undergoes fainting spells, she needs to stay out of the water. Plain and simple.
