In the 1960s, President Johnson sought to address the root of the civil unrest across the country, but the solutions presented to him by a group known as the Kerner Commission were largely ignored. In the latest “History Refocused,” CNN’s Abby Phillip talks to historian Matthew Lassiter about the similarities to an Obama-era commission and how both stopped short of lasting change.

– 1:19 * A violent criminal who happened to be a teen. 😒 (All these years later and they still only have the one intimidating-looking photo of him. 🙄) Stop including Michael Brown in a list of _actual_ victims of police racism, it undermines your point when you mix guilty criminals with innocent victims. 🤦
– 7:58 If local communities are in charge of the police-department, they’ll just make everything they do legal. For example, if there’s a community with a cartel problem, the cartel will just take over the police-department. Duh.
We’re all Americans here. No need to attack or get mad at each other just because we have different beliefs about governing.
Shhh… liberals will become offended.
@tom martinez Sssh, the right will try to own the libs. Hahahahaha
Can we have another summer of love ? … It really helps matters. ❣

The whole problem with the approach to rioters like those mentioned has been that it’s been allowed to escalate before it’s squashed. As soon as the first brick is thrown; the whole group should be dropped hard. The rest of them will get the picture quick when they figure out what happens when they act like fools.
Our criminal justice system is very fair to the extent that is unfairly burdens the public, not criminals.
That being said, there are always ways to improve . We need to get rid of the drug war. We need to get rid of private prisons. We need to focus on violent crime and crime with actual victims. Etc.
What crimes don’t have victims?
@Queen T drug crimes
@Queen T plenty of crimes. Possession of marijuana for instance.
@Queen T I would highly suggest reading “The Law” by Frédéric Bastiat. It goes into what actually is a crime, what the law represents, what are fair and unfair laws, taxation, etc.
SHOUT OUT TO DEMOCRAT INNER CITY POLICIES TODAY. LOVE IT.
Words of a true reprobate.
Don’t you just ! ☠️👹
We’re still pushing the whole Michael Brown was just a good boy thing?
Don’t you love how they show a picture of Brown when he was like 12 yrs old instead of showing the surveillance picture of him knocking out that poor clerk.
“That criminal could have been my son”-nobama. I wonder how many officers were attacked/killed because of nobama.
LET’S GO BRANDON 👏👏👏👏👏
Even as the economy keeps getting worst the rich keeps investing and making money out of their investments while the poor keeps talking about the crisis and becoming more poorer be wise
I’m happy to see Charles Schwab mentioned, he is recognized in the society, My spouse recommended him to me after investing £1200 and he has really helped us financially in the times of covid lockdown here in Australia 🇦🇺
My first experience with Schwab gave me this assurance and peace of mind. Today I make several investments with him without fear of losing. I don’t know how he does it all I know is he knows the market flow like it’s his own rhythm. Working with him has yielded fruitful results.
My wife and I hold Mr Charles R Schwab in high regard due to the £12,000 weekly profit we receive trading with his strategies.
Access to product information is what all of us need to achieve success in life. Here’s a good one. How can I possibly approach your investment professional Charles R Schwab?
The world is gradually waking up to the relevance of bitcoin and other investments. Great!!!! Experience matters a lot in any form of trading
This black chick is the one that turned me into a conservative. Thank you for the red pill, lady…
You’ve always been conservative
@Interview been a liberal since I can remember. Turned conservative in 2020.
This lady truly sickens me.
Comparing someone illegally cracking down on normal protesting in LBJ versus someone cracking down on rioting? Seriously this is messed up and insane. Abby I say this to be nice as possible. Get help. Please get help. To compare antifa riots with what LBJ is not mentally right.
Love Abby she is a great reporter. I want to see more stuff like this from CNN
If *DO THE CRIME DO THE TIME* confuses you, then your the problem.
Before sanding or painting , clean the area with a commercial wax remover (available at body shops) or rubbing alcohol . Always use wet-or-dry type sandpaper and keep it thoroughly soaķed with water. Use small pieces and plunge them into a bucket frequeņly . They cannot be too wet . Minor paint stains and imperfecţions can be buffed out with polišhing compound,a white abbrassive paste.

If you don’t remove that tweet calling us stupid, I’ll take it out on Erin Burnett and her family.
The public has to go through people like you to get their news. We shouldn’t have to endure your snark, your insults just to get some information. If you don’t remove that tweet calling us stupid, I’m going to Erin Burnett’s home. Do you understand?
If you don’t apologize for what you did to Bernie at the debate, I’m going to Erin Burnett’s home.
