While economists focus on the inverted yield curve, Chuck Todd asks if American drivers understand something a little more mundane: the Yield sign.

Yield: An Ode To The Most Misunderstood Traffic Sign | MTP Daily | MSNBC
huh? its not that complicated or confusing.
a yield sign is a stop sign you can run if nobodys coming.
there ya go. mystery solved.
What a fake news loser.
This is all they got. Viewers not so much.
Well, idiotic trolls like you are here supporting the channel, so I guess not so much.
… And then you came along and made the difference!
Literally two different definitions of the same word.
Please remove the irritating background music. Also please refrain from silly humor.
Ah, you really gotta pick your battles lol life’s much too short. 😂
How little respect do you have for the intelligence of your audience?
You should see what tele-tabloids like Faux Noise Entertainment say to their viewers. A fun game is to see how many non business-related stories there are on “Fox Business”.
how intelligent is american society?
@GamingTV At 27th in education rankings of all countries, not very. Just look at how poor US engineering is at in the mainstream, Americans build an 8.0L engine that only produces 650bHP, while a 2.3L Japanese engine can produce well over 1000bHP. Now, because of Trump’s illiteracy of the meaning of the word “tariff”, China has all but ceased trade with the US, so most things will be much more expensive now, and Americans never knew how to make it in the first place, but will have to learn quickly to catch up to the 21st century technology.
@Philosopher of Nonsense lol exactly, only thing we know how to make now is guns, bibles, and babies, the rest we leave gfor others to do so we can take credit for
@GamingTV Just like how Trump takes credit for Obama’s economy just days into office, but now that his economy is taking effect, he has no answers and is panicking because he has failed yet another campaign-promise/lie.
Best story ever! When people in my town quit stopping in the middle of the traffic circle on my way to work, then the commenters can criticize.
TrumpRecession
Good story.
Next time I’m in a conversation with someone I’m definitely dropping in that the yield curve is inverted even if it doesn’t fit unit the context of the topic at all
kinda throwing a yield curb aren’t ya?
Only in America could people misunderstand something so simple as a “yield” sign. This is what you get when you put all of your money into unnecessary defense contracts to get kickbacks instead of putting it towards education, because you know the educated voter doesn’t vote republican.
In most other English speaking countries, the term used for this sign is “GIVE WAY” instead of “YIELD.” They both mean: Stop, unless the road is clear.
Other countries have “Give Way” signs instead.
Yield is something asked by someone losing a duel, for example “Will you yield?”, which is more a challenge than a request (“No! I will not yield!”).
feel free to thank trump farmers, you’ll feel it the most in domestic trading :DDD
In America “yield” stands for put the petal to the metal and cut everyone off while giving them the one finger salute.
Chuck – The next time you shave, you will have to stand a lot closer to the razor.
Its one sign (pun) that the notion that US citizen are an inherent threat on, for example, European roads.
Its really not that complicated, but in other countries there is no text in these signs that literally explains it…
