Zelenskyy warns of unconfirmed chemical weapon attack in Mariupol | USA TODAY

Reports of chemical weapon use in Mariupol are unconfirmed. More than 10,000 have been killed in Mariupol since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began.

More than 10,000 civilians have been killed in the besieged city of Mariupol since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February, the mayor said, as Western nations warned a convoy was on the move for a suspected Russian assault in Ukraine’s east. The city is crucial to Russia's effort to link Crimea with the Donbas region, where Moscow-backed separatists have established de facto republics that even Russia only recognized days before the war broke out in February.

Mariupol Mayor Vadym Boychenko told The Associated Press that Russian forces have blocked weeks of attempted humanitarian convoys into the city in part to conceal the carnage. Boychenko also said the death toll in Mariupol alone could surpass 20,000.

    1. then why are you not letting everyone else in on your intel? dont comment like that with out also mentioning whats going to happen. no-one will take you serious.

    2. The closer the Russians get to victory, the more outlandish their allegations of war crimes becomes lol.

    1. And all we did in Iraq was war crime after war crime. Typical rules for thee but not for me from the USA.

    2. @Tyler Munz yeah it’s sad to see YouTube / Google playing censorship, the best part of freedom of speech is we can disagree forever but odds are we can always agree to disagree and hopefully as well work things out without a need for violence or compromise about are differences

  1. If these are unconfirmed, maybe go confirm before you report. Isn’t that the problem with the news today is that it’s all about being first instead of accurate? Definition of MISINFORMATION.

    1. @ToxicTroublemaker No it was a Russian tank still owned by the Russian army. Although it can get confusing because Ukraine has captured a lot of Russian tanks.

    1. When we are successful-and we will be-we have a real chance at this new world order, an order in which a credible United Nations can use its peacekeeping role to fulfill the promise and vision of the U.N.’s founders. . . . 4 Address before a joint session of Congress on 11 September 1990

    2. @mike delta
All of it is. See the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab and his “The Great Reset” and you’ll understand

  2. Warns of unconfirmed? Warn is future tense, uncomfirmed is past tense. This is completely meaningless word salad. Could we get a headline writer at USA TODAY that understands how language works? Is that too much to ask?

    1. I think they mean it as it’s currently in use but unconfirmed, kinda like confirming your kills, sure you saw it but it’s not on paper yet

    1. @AntiqueGeek no it wasn’t, the news said later on that the tank driver lost control and in fact it’s a Ukrainian tank. There’s something fishy going on in the most corrupted country in Europe. Who would’ve thought?

  3. Mind Begs the Question:
    If deploying Bio Weapons,Troops
In USA backyard – not Allowed
    In Russias backyard – Allowed
    Democracy,Imperialism?

    1. It shouldn’t be allowed anywhere only reason for an army is defending your country, as a gun is for defense of yourself

    2. How about you have a thought of your own instead of copy and pasting the same things over and over? Or does Islam not allow you to be a free thinker?🤔

  4. I myself tend to make important life decisions unconfirmed. Just yesterday the doctor told me I was pregnant. I was taken back seeing that I’m a man, but I took him at his word, I felt no need to confirm any of this and apparently I’m 8 months pregnant.

    1. Well sir, I may or may not be congratulating you on your possible child. Reports are sketchy but an anonymous source said that there’s a possibility of the potential for it to be a theoretical contender for a course of action that might be taken by someone.

    2. I can confirm without any doubt that i am doubtful which is unconfirmed by confirmed sources and verified by anonymous sources who met at an unspecified location which none of them went to due to not knowing where it was.

  5. Please peoples, let’s hold on tight to our billions of dollars aids until everything is confirmed LEGIT.

  6. A French reporter had a story stopped by Ukranian police accusing them of helping Russia even though they had press credentials, and supposedly were pretty rough! Why do they not want reporters reporting???🤔🤔

  7. Or maybe Zelenskyy is trying to find out what “all options are on the table if Putin uses a chemical weapon” means…btw didn’t the U.S. technically use chemical weapons in Iraq? And didn’t someone use them in Syria…Zelenskyy might need a better bait…tell the U.S. Russia used a nuclear weapon and just play videos from Hiroshima and we’ll be there pronto

  8. Zelenkey a sinister butcher against he’s own people , Dombass poblation freee !🎉🎉🎉🙌🙌🙌🙌
